Are You Ready for Change?

Face the fear or stand still...

All around the globe we are all going through change yet again. Earlier in the year we all had to face tremendous change with lockdown and now as many of us are slowly coming out of lockdown, we face another transition of trying to live a new way of living, still respecting the safety measures in place, but also trying to bring back some kind of normality to our life again.

This year has been filled with facing change. So my question to you is -

Will making changes in your own life, be easier now?

Many of us avoid change to the point that we would rather stay in a bad situation, that doesn't make us happy, out of fear that we would 'rock the boat' and the uncertainty of making changes for the better.

This attitude stems from fear. Fear of change affects many people. But I wonder if you had to make some big changes in your life right now, would you still back down, considering what you have gone through so far this year?

Facing the pandemic and being placed in lockdown was a big change. It separated some families, loved ones, caused financial problems for many and even relationships to breakdown. But still you faced it and dealt with it and now as you go through another change, coming out of lockdown, this can bring up uncertainty again as well as fear of whether it is safe to venture outside more often and meet others.

Your life matters and change is a part of living. You change your clothes right? You change your underwear (I hope). You change the food you eat every day and the programmes you watch on a daily basis. The list is endless on the amounts of change that happen in your life.

Change is part and parcel of life and when it comes to making big decisions in your life, know that you are more than capable of handling this.

Life is a blessing and is filled with many new opportunities. These opportunities all require elements of change, some big or some small. But remember the important factor that comes into play, when considering making a change in your life is - 'Am I going to feel better, for doing this?' or 'Is it going to lead me in the direction of my dreams and what I want from life?'

If the answer is yes - than go for it! I know that fear grips and takes over you when making a change, even a good change. But you can manage fear. Fear is weaker than you and is controlled by you and your mindset. The more you activate a stronger mindset, the easier it becomes in controlling fear and eliminating the doubts that hold you back from taking action on your goals and dreams.

We all faced fear when lockdown was set. Fear not only of change but also for our own health and those of our loved ones. But you got through it. You empowered yourself and got on with it. Now thats mindset control over fear.

Making the decision to ignore the call to change only results in regrets and keeps you stuck and standing still in life. That's not called living and enjoying life, that leaves you feeling empty and possibly frustrated and more fed up.

So I ask of you one thing today - don't be afraid to make those changes you need to make.

You only have one life to live and you deserve to be happy and living a fulfilled life, so grab it with both hands and take back your power and implement the changes needed to transform your life for the better.

And remember, if mindset is an issue, reach out to me, I will be more than happy to help you in this area.
