Sometimes we have the tendency to try to take control over everything in our lives. We desire for things to go as planned, things to be presented to us on time, and for everything to work out a certain way. And when things don’t unfold exactly the way we were hoping them to, we can get pretty bent out of shape. And how often do things actually go the way that we plan? In most cases, not very often.

Because the life we have is so short, we can’t allow these types of things to get the best of us, because simply, there’s nothing we can do to change them. Since that’s the case, instead of trying desperately to change things that simply will not budge, we could learn to focus on becoming more content with the situation. In order to live the happiest lives that we can possibly live, not wasting a single moment, we must learn to stop expecting, and fighting desperately for complete control. We must follow what feels right to us, what’s truly meant for us, and allow for the rest of our lives to unfold as they’re meant to.

When we fight for control, we are, in some cases, going against the current of life. Doing this could make what we’re actually trying to chase even harder to get to. It simply may not be meant for us. As I mentioned earlier, we tend to get bent out of shape when things don’t go exactly as planned. But, think about it, maybe what you were waiting for was just not meant for you. Try to stay patient, and allow the universe to fill in the vacant spots in your life with something even better; something entirely meant for you.

Although the universe has no deadlines in which it presents things into one’s life. It simply just does so when the time is right. It can be hard to see, but the way in which everything happens is all occurring in perfect timing. And when you think about it, the spontaneity of these presentations help us to grow as individuals, as we adapt to the events that we didn’t see coming. For if everything was completely stagnant all of the time, how would we ever evolve? The universe is truly remarkable in that way!

So yes, it molds us into unique individuals. The events and the timing in your life is what helps to shape you into who you are. Some will be good, and others quite unpleasant. However, the pain that you feel today will make you a stronger person tomorrow. And if life seems to be caving in the more you try to hold it up, trust that the universe is there to support you. Because it is. So stop, breathe, and trust that things will unfold as they’re meant to, all in perfect timing. That is key; it’s all going to be in its own timing. Try your very best, put in your greatest level of effort and allow for your life to react accordingly. It could be this week, this month, or several years. Either way, the timing will be perfect, simply because it is when it is.

Also, when opportunities remain unplanned, life gets that much more exciting! Imagine how boring it would be if we knew every single event that was to occur. What would be the point of living? Everything would be anticipated, with no surprises or changes-to-the-plan. Like a map, you’d be able to see every single dip and turn in the road. Is that really what you would like?

Life can most certainly be a challenge, and the uncertainty of timing can be a large contributor to that. It’s definitely not easy. However, this is simply one of the aspects that we cannot control. So, we can either choose to look at it as a positive or a negative. Try to consider its spontaneity as a gift that provides a constant thrill. Consider it as one that will help you to grow and adapt. Consider the timing of your life as simply perfect. When one has a positive state of mind, the rest of the world’s challenges and opportunities for personal growth are tackled with so much more ease. If you look at the world with love, then the world will love you right back. The events and their timing will support you instead of tearing you to bits. They will hold you up even when you feel like falling down. Trust in their timing. Trust in the process. And trust that all will occur perfectly, according to your plan.
