A retreat to rebalance.

The small things remind us to be fearless.

My home for my 18-day retreat.

A secret sanctum of solitude. Your childhood fear of the pitch black has not fully disintegrated: the cold chill still lightly bites you from your lower back to your neck. Breathe out. Nothing or no one mean you any torment. The lack of light only means to cause you curiosity and wonder. Go forth, and see what new patterns you will learn: The nights don't feel dark for long, for slowly the eyes adjust, the lights shed their tears on the path ahead, and your feet already know the way. All is well. You are loved, you are safe.

The safety net given from many moons of kundalini shield the space around; you even chuckle to yourself to have even thought of your younger fears. The more you see, the more you notice, and you notice that everything is a microcosm, yet also a jigsaw piece, for everything. Black cats guard your private home; they've remained close to teach you the power of independence within the shadows. Like stars and like theirs, your eyes too can glimmer through the twilight. However, they do not shine for the attention of others; they know their presence is honoured. They shine to always see forward, to always see the obstacles approaching them, to always know their next move. They never need to look back. All is well. You are loved, you are safe.

The trees surrounding your small world shelter you for warmth and cradle you for comfort. They sing you to sleep with lullabies of their lessons, using their leaves to harmonise with the wind: absorb energetic connections with others, like rain drops that delicately collapse on the leaf's surface. You won't absorb it all, for some will fall, but what you keep is what you need. Being grounded is the most important lesson of all. The length of a tree's roots correspond to the height of the tree. The higher you reach, the deeper the roots must sink: inner strength is an obligation for you to achieve your daydreams, it will keep you anchored. All is well. You are loved, you are safe.

As your body rhythmically sways up and down with your soothing breath, the crickets sing the tales of time, embedding them back into the earth: now they be told again, as they grow like flowers out of the surface for newcomers to admire and collect. All is well. You are loved, you are safe.
