What does Leadership mean to you?

This blog is more or less my notes that I took while listening to a talk from one of the top people that have organized that platform that is helping people, like myself, to become conscious entrepreneurs. Providing a platform and products that positively impact the planet. While teaching the 7 pillars that have been drastically transforming my life to become a service based, heart centered, leader. One of the main point that really struck me was the idea that business rises and falls on leadership. And to become and embody that, we have to do the inner work that it takes. seems like a no brainer right?

But we are leaders already. And we can grow along the way. We don't have to look to someone else to give us permission. We can speak our truth and take action.

Some questions to ask ourselves before I get into my notes.

Are we willing to lead?

Maybe we don't have all the right answers but we can act in spite of fear or judgment from others.

Is it ok to feel fear?

Feeling the fear and being willing to do it through that fear is what will put us ahead of the curve.

Here are my notes on 8 Core values in Leadership that we can adopt and step into.

Be you. And maybe you might know what that actually looks like and that is ok. But it will be worth your while to invest the time and energy into finding out who you are when you pull away the mask or avatar that you are showing the rest of the world.

You don’t need to be anything other than what you actually are. You don’t need to project an image of yourself that you are more successful than. We all start right where our feet are. The good and then bad. Being completely transparent is what is going to be the thing that attracts your tribe.

Socially we have been conditioned to not share the ups and the downs, the challenges, the successes. We don’t get the rainbow without the rain. The bullshit radar goes off. The facts need to add up. Trust is built on vulnerability.

We need to go back to this truth. The universe rewards loyalty. Showing gratitude with your actions to those who have helped you along the way but being willing to give and invest in others. Magic happens here

It isn’t always easy but it should be something of your compass. Keep your promises. Don’t make promises with your mouth that your back can’t carry. Short term gain when going against your own integrity isn’t worth the long term results. Moments when we are wanting to take shortcuts, we will see that the universe is sending us a message hoping that we won’t walk away with a mess.

Honesty is the best policy. Tell people what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. Don’t pussy foot around the bush. Micro questions and micro situations that will give you opportunity to exaggerate will not do you any favors. Under promise and over deliver is a good thing. But the aim should be to over promise and then over deliver on that over promise.

Be someone that people can look to and know and be able to rely on. Help other people win. Pour into other people. And do the work that it takes to not be pouring from an empty cup. And learn how to discern who is worth pouring into. Some people's cups are upside down and it's a wasted effort. Being consistent is the only way to work towards mastery. Self made might sound good, but there are so many people that helped you along the way, and sometimes it is even the people that didn’t believe in you that gave you the push that you needed. You don;t need to re-define. Through being consistent you are refining yourself.

To be your best. Lead by example. Show up for yourself. Show up for those that need you. Stick to what you said you were going to do. Make the decision, set aside all the variables that may come up and figure out the way you can prepare to get through them as they arise. Reaching your goals and achieving the results you want, are the byproduct of commitment.

Are you taking on full ownership and responsibility for your own life?

Is your version still bigger than yourself?

We are all born leaders. Some of us have allowed others step into the leadership positions that you are capable of taking on yourself.
