Walt Disney is one of the most famous and successful people of the 20th century, the creator of Mickey Mouse and the founder of Disneyland.

His achievements in the field of animation brought him a huge number of awards and worldwide fame.

Do what you love.

The first thing we can learn from Disney is his love of drawing. He loved to draw so much that he devoted all his free time to this occupation. To support (financially) his passion, he was willing to work any job.

Just imagine what it’s like to wake up every day, go to your studio and do what you love most in the world. Such a scenario is much more attractive than getting up in the morning and walking to an unloved job that takes away your strength and energy.

Disney worked many jobs, he was even a military ambulance driver during World War I along with his friend Ray Kroc (one of the founders of McDonald’s). It was at this time that Walt Disney realized how strong his love for drawing was.

Take what you love seriously.

Walt Disney took his job very seriously. He paid attention to every detail, did not delay or put off projects, always took the initiative, and never put his passion on the back burner.

He did not take his art and talent for granted.

Do it for others.

Walt Disney never created cartoons for himself; he never hid his work, moreover, he always found ways to show them to a wide audience.

Disney is the author of a large number of comics. He started out as a comic book artist for the school newspaper. For some time he even worked in a local (city) newspaper.

Disney cartoons teach many things, such as love for family and friends, faith in the best, but the most important lesson is that good always triumphs over evil.

Never stop there.

Walt Disney had one very important trait for a successful person — he never rested on his laurels. After Walt finished work on one project, he immediately turned to another. “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, “Bambi”, “Fantasia” — were created one after the other in order to subsequently delight not only children but also adults.

After Mickey Mouse, Walt creates Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, and many other iconic characters that are still relevant today. Disney not only came up with new characters but also continued to design existing ones, each time making them better and better.

Don’t let obstacles stop you.

When Walt Disney first started working on Snow White, his wife and brother tried their best to dissuade him from this work. Snow White was even called “Disney Madness”, moreover, Walt lost funding before he could finish the project.

Most people in this situation would simply leave this job and do something else. But not Walt. He continued to work hard and, in order to find money to continue the project, he began to offer the producers an unfinished version of the cartoon in the hope that someone would be interested. And his hard work has paid off. The studio was saved, and the classic Snow White still came out.

Snow White’s success was overwhelming. Disney received not only numerous standing ovations but also the opportunity to work on other projects.

Walt could have quit his job on the project and moved on to something else, but he didn’t. His dreams, hopes, and love for animation were too strong to give up.

We can learn a lot from successful people. Each of them had their own path, but in one way or another, their life lessons are similar.

Walt Disney’s legacy continues to delight and inspires millions of people around the world.
