Investing and trading stocks is a phenomenal way to make money. Just take a look at Warren Buffett. He saved $6,000 as a six-year-old and bought his first stocks when he was eleven years old.

Coming from a business-oriented family, Buffett had a head start over his peers and many of the investors in the stock market. His philosophies have helped me grow my initial investments up more than 50%, and I’m only twenty-two years old.

If Warren Buffett’s advice can help make me significant money, his quotes can help you make a lot of money.

Quote #1

Risk comes from not knowing what you are doing.

— Warren Buffett

We all know that a lack of knowledge can allow you to be manipulated. This quote applies to investing in the stock market, running a business, and anything else tied to money.

As a day-trader, I used to buy options contracts and expect to hit the lotto at least one of these times. That day never came, and I finally reached out to my investing mentors to see how I could improve. I also educated myself with lots of YouTube videos and learned a lot of valuable information.

If you don’t do your due diligence and research your source of income you’re trying to achieve, then you’ll have a rude awakening when your bank account hits $0.00. Be sure to study companies you invest in as well as the companies you work for.

If something seems off or sounds too good to be true, most likely, it is. Your due-diligence will make or break you.

Quote #2

Of the billionaires I have known, money just brings out the basic traits in them. If they were jerks before they had money, they are simply jerks with a billion dollars.

— Warren Buffett

Money isn’t everything. “But Jordan, I thought this article was going to tell me all about making more money?” It is, but we have to visit a deeper, more empathetic level too. It’s a double-edged sword when it comes to money.

Warren Buffett knows a lot of billionaires because he’s a successful businessman himself. He’s seen men go from making the average annual income to making more money than some entire businesses do in a year.

If you’re giving, supportive, and humble, you’ll be all of those things whether or not you’re a billionaire. Today's people determine the type of people we’ll be when we “make it” in whatever we are doing.

Imagine what your life would look like if you 10X’d your bank account. Now decide what you’d do if you get there. Would you bring other people along for the ride? Would you inspire others to achieve massive success as you did?

A great deal of money has the power to illuminate an individual’s true personality.

Warren Buffett Quote #3

You only have to do a very few things right in your life so long as you don’t do too many things wrong.

Life is a long game, and we don’t need to diversify ourselves and be an expert at everything. Take some of the pressure off yourself. You don’t need to be the greatest chef, athlete, investor, and writer. You can pick one of them and go all-in on it!

Warren Buffett decided he enjoyed working in business and investing in stocks. He started his own holding company, Berkshire Hathaway, and gets to run a business that invests in stocks.

You can kill two birds with one stone if you really wanted to, as Warren Buffett did. But to be more realistic, test out a few adventures, pick one, and completely stick to it.

You can do it if you want it bad enough.

— Warren Buffett

Takeaway

Money makes the world go around, and it’s up to you to determine how you want your life to go. You would much rather be making money doing something you’re passionate about versus something you didn’t get any fulfillment from, right? Of course, anyone would.

“Risk comes from not knowing what you are doing.”

“Of the billionaires I have known, money just brings out the basic traits in them. If they were jerks before they had money, they are simply jerks with a billion dollars.”

“You only have to do very few things right in your life so long as you don’t do too many things wrong.”

Find a way to make money and focus on that for a very long time until you’re an expert. When it comes to investing, make sure to do your research and know what you’re doing.

Follow Warren Buffett’s advice, and you might be well on your way to being the next millionaire.
