There are two forms of leadership. the first one, and by far the most effective, is leadership by consent of and with the sympathy of, the followers. The second is leadership by force without the consent and sympathy of followers.

History is filled with evidence that leadership by force cannot endure. It means that people will not follow forced leadership indefinitely.

The world has entered a new era of relationship between leaders and followers, which very clearly calls for new leaders and new branded leadership in business and industry.

The relationship of employer and employee, or leader and follower, in the future, will be one of cooperation, based upon an equitable division of profits of a business.

In the future, the relationship between an employer and employee will be more like a partnership than it has been in the past. Hitler and Stalin are examples of leaders who ruled by force. Their leadership passed. People may follow the forced leadership temporarily but they will not do so willingly.

The best brand of leadership will need the following 11 attributes, people who make these attributes the basis of their leadership will find abundant to lead in any walk of life.

Unwavering Courage

Based upon knowledge of self and one's occupation, no follower wishes to be dominated by a leader who lacks self-confidence and courage. No intelligent follower will be dominated such a leader for very long.

Thus it is essential for a leader to have an abundance of confidence and courage so that no follower can beat them.

Self Control

People who cannot control themselves cannot control others. Self-control sets a mighty example for one's follower that why he is the leader.

A person with no self-control cannot control be a leader or if does will be considered as one of the worst.

Keen Sense Of Justice

Without a sense of fairness and justice, no leader can command and retain the respect of his or her followers.

The digital needs those leaders who keep a keen sense of justice and are against nepotism.

Definiteness Of Decision

People who waver in decisions show that they are sure not sure of themselves and cannot lead successfully.

Any leader lacking this attribute will take such steps and actions which will result in blunders for himself and his followers.

Definiteness Of Plans

The successful leader must plan the work, and work the plan. A leader who moves by guesswork without practical, definite plans is comparable to a ship without a rudder. Sooner or later it will land on rocks.

Habit Of Doing More

One of the penalties of leadership is the necessity of willingness, upon the part of the leaders, to do more than they require of their followers.

Which means that a leader needs to work more than any of his follower to prove to them that he is worthy of that leadership.

A Pleasing Personality

No slovenly, careless person can become a successful leader. Leadership calls for respect.

Followers will not respect leaders who do not score highly on all factors of a pleasing personality.

Sympathy and Understanding

Successful leaders must be in sympathy with their followers. Moreover, they must understand them and their followers.

This attribute is highly important to gain the trust of the followers and keep the followers faith in you.

Mastery Of Detail.

Successful leadership calls for mastery of details of the leader's position. They must have plenty of details and knowledge regarding any topic or issue so that no one can challenge them.

Assuming Full Responsibility

Successful leaders must be willing to assume responsibility for the mistakes and shortcomings of their followers.

If they try to shift this responsibility, they will not remain leaders. if followers make mistakes and become incompetent it is the leader who has failed.

Cooperation

Successful leaders must understand and apply the principle of cooperative efforts and be able to induce followers to do the same.

Leadership calls for power and power calls for cooperation.
