God willing

God willing

"This good man had a black cat with a white spot the size of a penny on its tail. If you pluck the seven white hairs from the white spot, light it, and smoke it to the princess, her illness will be cured immediately, and the devil will leave her."

The immortal's talk was remembered by the good man. Early the next morning, he came out of the well, caught the black cat, pulled seven white hairs from the white spot on the tail, and wrapped them in paper. As soon as the sun rose in the east, the king came to visit him at home with his courtiers and guards.

He went out respectfully to meet the king and hurried to meet him. After saluting, he said, "May I guess the reason why Your Majesty has come to my humble home?"

"Of course, good old man, you guess."

"Your Majesty has come to my humble home to ask me how to cure the princess."

"Yes! Good old man, your guess is right."

"Please send for the princess at once. Inshallah (God willing), I will cure her right away."

The king was so pleased that he sent his chamberlain to fetch the princess with her hands and feet shackled. The good man sat her down and covered her with a cloth. He took out his white fur and lit it on fire. Slowly she opened her eyes, covered her face and said, "What's going on? Who brought me here?"

The king was so overjoyed that he kissed the princess's eyes and then the good man. Then he turned to the court and asked, "Tell me, what shall be the reward for the man who healed the princess?"

"The princess should be his wife."

"Yes, you are right."

So the king gladly ordered the princess to be betrothed to him, and he became an attached horse overnight.

Soon after, the chancellor died of illness. The king asked his courtiers for their opinions and asked, "Who shall we choose to be the new chancellor?"

"Let the emperor be your son-in-law." All the ministers answered with one voice.

He ended up as chancellor. After a while the king died. The courtiers discussed the succession of the throne and asked, "Who shall be our new king?"

"Choose the chancellor." The courtiers were unanimous.

As a result, he was catapulted from prime minister to king. He loved his people like a son and became a wise and popular king.

One day, the king rode out on a tour. Civil and military officials and guards swarmed back and forth. Suddenly he saw the jealous fellow in the crowd, and said, "Go and bring the man to me, but do not frighten him." The squire heard the order and brought the jealous man to the king. The king told his prime minister, "Take a thousand gold pieces from the Treasury and give them to him along with ten loads. Send some men to take him home." At last, he bade the envious man farewell in a kind manner, without any inquiry into his previous faults.

"Now, devil, you know the good man. Can't you not be like that good man, who had been so jealous of his neighbors, who had reproached him, who had destroyed his happiness, who had been hurt even after he had moved to another town, and who had been pushed down a well by the jealous man, who had not remembered his old grudge, who had not only taken revenge on his neighbor, but also forgiven him, and rewarded him with money and goods? He who gives good will be rewarded!" I made a bitter plea to the devil, begging him to spare me. I sang:

"He who is generous,

Never care about the faults of others.

The SINS of others,

He is always generous.

All the SINS that remain in me,

Please erase it all from your beautiful memory.

Those who hope for God's forgiveness,

There should be forgiveness."

The devil heard my plea and said, "Stop talking nonsense! I will not kill you, but I will not forgive you easily. I will cast my magic upon you."

So he grabbed me and flew into the air. He flew high and looked down at the earth, which was like a floating bowl. After a while, I was taken to a mountain peak. The devil picked up a handful of sand, muttered a curse, threw sand on me, and said, "Turn this man into a monkey." I immediately turned into a monkey who was 100 years old.

But there was nothing I could do to change the cruelty of what had happened to me. I had to endure it in silence, for I knew very well that things could happen and things could happen.
