Wedding anxiety? Everyday anxiety? No problem.

My partner and I both struggle with different degrees of anxiety. We felt it was incredibly important to take small breaks to help reduce the stress. Here are the six most practical times to sneak a break on your wedding day.

1. When You First Wake Up.

This may seem obvious, but the morning you wake up for your wedding can be busy getting your makeup, and hair done. Waking up that little bit early for some quiet and a hot coffee is such an incredible opportunity to enjoy your last morning unmarried! This is also a wonderful time to write down your thoughts or write a letter to your significant other.

Trust me. I hadn't planned for this moment, but when I found myself sitting in this moment I was overwhelmed with gratitude.

2. Before You See Your Partner.

Having a first look, or meeting at the altar? Getting there is that moment. Take it all in. This is a great opportunity to breathe and remind yourself to relax. The anticipation of seeing your partner building is an incredibly powerful experience to savor.

3. After Your Photos.

The recessional is often followed by photos with your photographer(s), and organizing family for family photos can be difficult. A break is more realistic after the family and wedding party photos have been taken. Keep a clearly communicated photo list with your photographers. Discuss your needs for breaks, as well as when and where you are meeting after each break.

4. Dessert.

EAT IT! In the bustle of things I didn't even eat my dessert when I got married. I wish I had have thought to use this as a mindfulness practice!

(see Five Mindfulness Practices For Your Wedding Day here.)

5. After the floor has been open for five songs.

The dance floor is getting going and let's be real, you need a moment to process. All the mingling, toasts, food... oh and perhaps you had a drink or two? Grab your partner and sneak off for a song or two of alone time!

Our photographers (Brohart Family Photography) captured the beautiful moment in the photo.

6. First Married Morning.

Write down as much as you can remember in as much detail as you can. It is such a nice keepsake. It's also important to get the details down as soon as possible to you can remember it while it is "still fresh".

Then let me how how these recommendations worked on your big day!
