Bridesmaids are the glue that holds weddings together, and they're your best friends. When someone takes on the role of bridesmaid, they agree to help you make your wedding as magical as possible.

Though your wedding is your day, it's not just about you. You need to make others happy too. You should do what you can to be good to your bridesmaids—and that includes doing simple things like not ticking them off.

Your besties will never tell you this, but there are a lot of things that annoy bridesmaids you're probably guilty of. Worried you're making things hard for them? Watch for these major faux pas you're probably committing.

Insisting on Dresses That Are Out-of-Budget

A lot of the things that annoy bridesmaids deal with costs, and it makes sense. Weddings are expensive, and so are the clothes associated with them. Most bridesmaids don't have a large budget for a dress, so if you insist on having them buy expensive dresses, they will be annoyed.

If you want to make them happy, then just give them a general guideline of what their dresses should look like. They will be able to find one that suits them in their budget and you can minimize the costs for your bridesmaids.

Expecting Them to Pay for Hair and Makeup

Hair and makeup make or break most wedding photos, and it only makes sense that you would want everyone to look perfectly done up on the day. However, budgets are a thing and they can quickly drain bank accounts.

You are totally in your right to ask people to wear makeup. You're also in your right to ask them to get hair and makeup done by pros. You might be pushing it to ask for the bridesmaids to buy their own. Just saying.

Booking Too Many Appointments and Meetups Together

Yes, you should take time to bond with your bridesmaids, but they have lives outside of your wedding, you know! Too many bridal get-togethers and restaurant outings will wear out even the most patient bridesmaid.

As much as it may suck to say this, keep your bridesmaid parties to a minimum. Like, stick to a maximum of four: a get-together as a bridal shower, a bachelorette, the rehearsal, and the big event.

The Labor

Most bridesmaids will be willing to help you pick out a dress, put it on, and accessorize. They will also be happy to lend a patient ear when you are too stressed out, or nervous that you're doing the wrong thing. This is what a bridesmaid does.

It's a labor of love, but that doesn't mean that it's not one of the biggest things that annoy bridesmaids. Work is work, so don't be the bridezilla who asks the 'maids to clean up after the wedding or help prepare decorations.

Dealing with Drama

Drama just seems to naturally go with a lot of weddings, particularly if you're in a clique that has high levels of it to begin with. Nobody likes arguments, cattiness, and overall narcissistic behavior.

Of course, there are some people who just add drama regardless of what they do—and they might be your family members. Most friends will understand that and work around it to make sure your wedding goes off without a hitch.

On the other hand, most people who have a bridal friend that turns into a super bridezilla won't tolerate that. Unless you want to lose your friends during your wedding, you'll be kind to the girls who make it happen.

Your Plus-One Policy

Plus-ones are the devil's work, aren't they? They end up putting pressure on bridesmaids to find a date—or leave their boyfriends at home, depending on what you decide to do. It's rough, and it's a lose-lose situation in most cases.

With this situation, it's generally a good idea to let your bridesmaids bring who they want along for the ride. If you have a bridesmaid who has a date or a husband, please hear her out if you haven't already.

Bad Dress Choices

You know, the price tag on bridesmaid dresses isn't the only issue girls can take with your decisions. As much as you might love a certain dress, I can tell you that there's a good chance at least one of your bridesmaids would prefer another design.

It is your choice, ultimately, when it comes to dresses. But there are many gorgeous and affordable bridesmaid dresses your friends will love that you can choose from. If you're not known for good style among friends, this might be one of the things that annoy bridesmaids in your party. To make it easier, ask a friend to help you decide.

Trying to Get Them to Do a Choreographed Performance

I don't know what's the deal with this trend, but it's apparently a thing now. Some brides actually will go so far as to try to get their bridesmaids to do choreographed dances and performances as part of their wedding celebration.

If this sounds like you, you need to cancel this plan immediately. Stop right there. No, really stahp it. In fact, you need to get your wedding planner to smack you.

Your bridesmaids are your friends, not performers. They are not a sideshow. Please don't treat them like one. It's not cool, and it could be very stressful on them.

Constant Wedding Talks

Weddings are exciting, and for many of us, it's the moment we've all been hoping to see. Some girls even looked forward to the big day since they were five years old!

When it's your wedding, it's understandable that it's all you want to talk about. Wedding planning is a huge ordeal, and every little detail seems to matter more than the last. The thing is, wedding talk gets old really quick.

While you might be excited about finding the right wedding cake or boutonniere, your bridesmaids might just do an eyeroll. Ask them about their day once in a while.

Bridezilla Moments

Yes, we all know that wedding planning is stressful and that you're probably being pulled every single way. It's exhausting and may even put you in a bad mood. That doesn't mean you have the right to take it out on bridesmaids.

Of all the things that annoy bridesmaids, this is the most lethal to your relationships with your friends after the wedding, Be a bridezilla, and you can expect friends to ghost you post-party. Keep an eye out for signs you're a bridezilla to avoid any issues with friends.
