Vinegar has antibiotic and antiseptic properties and, due to its acidity, helps fight bacteria or mold. Moreover, it is used to prolong the life of flowers or to obtain beautiful and healthy hair.

The maintenance of a house requires both special attention from us and a lot of responsibility. To have a clean home, it is necessary to pay attention to all the surfaces and objects in the house, but the purchase of the products necessary for each area also involves a certain budget.

Without realizing it, there are in our home the usual products, ecological and cheap alternatives to the cleaning ones, available on the market. Vinegar has antibiotic and antiseptic properties and, due to its acidity, helps fight bacteria or mold. Moreover, it is used to prolong the life of flowers or to obtain beautiful and healthy hair.

1. Vinegar is used primarily to remove odors. If you can't get rid of the smell of the trash can, you can wash it with a solution of half a cup of hot vinegar and two tablespoons of baking soda, and then rinse it off.

2. The refrigerator should be one of the cleanest items in a home. However, the refrigerator often gets a pungent odor. Using warm water and vinegar, you will get rid not only of it but also of dirt.

Also, the mixture of vinegar and water is used to remove odors from different containers. You can leave them wrapped in a vinegar-soaked towel for a few hours or you can put a sponge soaked in vinegar in them.

3. Get rid of ants by spraying a solution of equal parts water and vinegar in problem areas.

4. Limestone is the enemy of any housewife. Remove the limescale deposits facing the iron by inserting a cup of vinegar into the water compartment.

Iron a cloth, releasing steam, then repeat the process with water, taking care to wipe the sole well after use.

5. The limescale deposited on the showerhead can be removed if you leave it for a few hours in a container full of vinegar. You can also clean the batteries with a little water, salt, and vinegar.

6. If the cups have become stained due to coffee or tea, fill them with a little vinegar, and the next day you will be able to clean them extremely easily.

7. Adhesive stains left after sticking can be removed by wiping them with a vinegar-soaked cloth.

8. The traces left by the green walnuts on the clothes are removed as follows: after soaking the affected area in cold water, add dishwashing detergent on the stain and then a little white vinegar, which you mix with the detergent. After 10 minutes, rinse the garment with cold water, and if the stain has not disappeared, repeat the process.

9. Grease-stained or stained-glass windows are also cleaned with vinegar. Apply a little vinegar on the glass, leave it to act for a few minutes, and wipe it with a sponge.

10. Clean the stove with a paste made of dish detergent, a tablespoon of baking soda, and a tablespoon of vinegar. The mixture can also be used to clean other surfaces, which tend to be sticky.

11. To keep the kitchen countertop and choppers always clean, all you have to do is clean them with a cloth soaked in vinegar.

12. The microwave is much easier to clean after leaving a bowl or cup of water and vinegar in the oven for 5 minutes.

13. Ceramic tile flooring regains its appearance if you wash it with water and vinegar.

14. A lot of people avoid decorating walls with wallpaper because of its care. To clean silky or glossy wallpaper, use a mixture of water, baking soda, and white vinegar.

15. The carpet will keep its appearance if you rub it with a solution consisting of two parts hot water and one part white vinegar. This is one of the oldest tricks and you don't have to worry about the smell, as it will be removed.
