Marble

These days marble is like the default material for modern homes, its literally impossible to walk into a modern home without seeing marble… but this isn’t without reason! Marble is a classic material that been around forever, it's always going to be in style for interiors. It’s not just the material itself that keeps it trendy, but the striations that form from the stone offer an elegance that you couldn’t find in other materials making every piece of marble distinct. Marble is often used in kitchens, it’s the most common place since it gives off both a highly functional and chic look. We’ve seen marble used on coffee tables with a marble top to subtle marble decor.

Copper

Copper is an amazing material that you can use to complement many styles of interior design, and that’s the reason it's a trending choice for materials this year. It can be said that it's an amazing complimentary material that can bring out the beauty of objects within many styles of rooms. One of my favourite choices for copper is to use it within the bathroom from a bath to a sink it can create an elegant look. It can also serve as the perfect accent if you mixing metals.

Reclaimed wood

Recycled material is a great addition for any modern space, while also being amazing for the environment. While many opt for hardwood floors, flooring and ceiling beams its not the only way to use this material. Bookshelves, desks, and tables are a great way to add a natural element to your design. People often fall for the misconception that reclaimed wood has to be rustic when the reality is it can be paired with many types of metals for a modern look.

Faux Fur

We’ve mention texture in one of our previous posts and it’s exactly the reason why fur is trending, fur is the easiest way to add luxury to the home. From a fur rug to a fur pillowcase tossed on the couch it brings a relax and cosy vibe. A fur blanket on a bed adds a certain warm style to a bedroom, and let's not forget how great it feels to snuggle up for a fur blanket in the winter.

Concrete

Concrete has been in the world of interior and construction for decades, but its refined form for being in decor items, as well as furniture, has only come about recently. It's incorporated into every aspect of interior design, increasing its use in our lives from floors to its walls, from pendant lamps to plates, from tiles to furniture. The best part of this material is that it’s cheap and versatile, we’ve most recently seen it used in both kitchens and bathrooms which we are all here for!!!
