Coronavirus has been the most discussed issue all over the world since December 2019. It is very interesting how the virus has infected not only the human body but also the mind and the way of thinking. This virus has caused a great panic which is mostly damaging our psychology. Most of us are now quarantined in their homes and find it either boring, awful or stressful. Many others do not follow the rules and continue life normally,underestimating the virus. I don't want to repeat and repeat those boring phrases like “ wash your hands “, “stay home stay safe or save lives” etc that we hear or read all over the internet these days. The reason why I am writing this article is to give some positive thoughts and ideas of things to do during isolation by using this free time efficiently.

The first activity I recommend is playing board games. It may seem old fashion, or boring but they can become the best part of the day if you choose them carefully based on the number of players and age. I used to play numerous board games with my family and we had a lot of fun. As a student studying abroad I cannot play with them anymore, so I am playing with my flatmates instead.

The First group of board games I recommend are Uno, chess, skip bo cards, snake, puzzle, jenga and Dart , which can be played from 2 to 5 players.

The second group consists of Monopoly, ludo king,The secret Hitler, werewolf,code names, Clue and different games that can be played with poker cards. These games can be played from 3 to 10 players.

At first sight you will probably think playing with mom, dad, siblings or even your grandparents will not work, but give it a try. This quarantine time is giving us the opportunity to spend more time with our families and get to know them better. Who knows, mom can be super smart and dad super funny, your siblings can have a fighting soul that will make the game so much more interesting. You don’t have any board games at home ? You can either buy it online or build it, they don't cost much. So, appreciate the opportunity to spend time with your family and stop getting bored. You can make it unforgettable instead. For others who are far away like me, we have 2 choices: keep playing with our flatmates or keep reading for other useful ideas.

Watching movies, reading or playing video games are still options however selfcare and developing new hobbies will be better. Drawing for example requires a lot of time and concentration although combined with good music it will be very relaxing and enjoyable.

Despite that it is perceived to be very girlish, knitting is also a good idea, after learning it you will get really addicted. Expect the good time you may have a new scarf from it.

Cooking sounds very common but “experimental cooking” ( I mean new dishes or strange dishes) is not. You can try a new recipe everyday, cooking it with someone while listening to music and making jokes.

Many people are not getting paid during this corona outbreak which leads them in serious economic problems. As one of them I definitely recommend finding an online job that can be online teaching, marketing, blogging, etc or starting a seasonal job in the sectors that mostly need help such as supermarkets, post etc.

Now last but not least Self-care. If you are too lazy or too tired to do such things as cooking, playing or working you can use this quarantine time for some “me time”. In our daily lives the occupations we are charged with do not leave much room for self care, so that's the reason why you should start it now. Working out at home, walking your dog, jogging outside, riding a bike, playing ping pong in the park are not forbidden and can easily replace the gym. Eating healthy, doing Yoga, puzzles, taking online courses can help your metabolism and brain work better. For those who have skin problems such as akne, pimples, or black heads it is time to treat them slowly and efficiently. You are not leaving home so nobody is gonna see you, stop putting makeup but start putting your treatments on and be patient. I am going to give some very useful advice for this issue in my next article as I have suffered for a long time from akne. Don't miss it!
