sleepYou already know that exercising is beneficial to your health, but do you realise how beneficial it is? Find out how exercise may enhance your life, from raising your mood to your sex life.

1. Exercise helps you lose weight.
Exercising can help you avoid gaining weight or keep it off once you've lost it. You burn calories when you participate in physical exercise. The higher the intensity of your activity, the more calories you will burn.

Regular gym visits are beneficial, but don't fret if you don't have the time to workout every day. Any level of exercise is preferable to none. Simply become more active throughout your day — use the stairs instead of the elevator, or increase your home tasks — to gain the benefits of exercise. The importance of consconsistency cannot be overstated.

2. Exercise helps to prevent and treat illnesses and diseases.
Are you concerned about heart disease? Do you want to avoid high blood pressure? Being active increases high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, the "good" cholesterol, and lowers harmful triglycerides, regardless of your current weight. This two-pronged attack maintains your blood flowing freely, lowering your risk of cardiovascular disease.

Regular exercise can help you avoid or manage a variety of health issues, including:

Many types of cancer *Stroke *Metabolic syndrome *High blood pressure *Type 2 diabetes *Depression *Anxiety *Many types of cancer *Arthritis *Falls
It can also aid in the improvement of cognitive function and the reduction of all-cause mortality.

3. Exercise elevates one's mood.
Do you require an emotional boost? Or are you looking for a way to unwind after a long day? A workout at the gym or a brisk walk can assist. Physical activity releases chemicals in your brain that make you feel happier, more relaxed, and less nervous.

When you exercise consistently, you may feel better about yourself and your appearance, which can raise your confidence and self-esteem.

4. Exercise gives you more energy.
Are you exhausted from grocery shopping or domestic chores? Regular physical activity can help you strengthen your muscles and increase your stamina.

Exercise helps your cardiovascular system perform more efficiently by delivering oxygen and nutrients to your tissues. You'll have more energy to tackle daily duties as your heart and lung health improves.

5. Exercise helps you sleep better.
Having trouble sleeping? Regular physical activity can assist you in falling asleep sooner, sleeping better, and sleeping deeper. Just avoid exercising too close to bedtime if you don't want to be too energised to

The bottom line on physical activity
Physical activity and exercise are excellent ways to improve your mood, improve your health, and have fun. The US Department of Health and Human Services recommends the following exercise guidelines for most healthy adults:
Aerobic exercise. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of strong aerobic activity per week, or a combination of both. According to the instructions, you should do this workout over the course of a week. At least 300 minutes per week is recommended to provide even more health benefits and to aid in weight loss or maintenance. Even small levels of physical activity, however, are beneficial. Being active for small amounts of time throughout the day can help you feel more energised.

Strengthening exercises. At least twice a week, do strength training exercises for all major muscle groups. Aim to complete a single set of each exercise with a weight or resistance level that causes your muscles to weary after 12 to 15 repetitions.
Brisk walking, riding, swimming, and mowing the lawn are examples of moderate aerobic activity. Running, heavy yardwork, and aerobic dancing are examples of vigorous aerobic exercise. Weight machines, your own body weight, heavy bags, resistance tubing or resistance paddles in the water, or hobbies like rock climbing can all be used for strength training.

You may need to increase your moderate aerobic activity if you want to lose weight, fulfil specific fitness objectives, or gain even more benefits.
