The internet is full of great tools and resources for just about anyone. Over the years, I have collected many links to share with clients and friends.

Welcome to the second part of my series! Here are more of my favorite online resources for you to try.

  • WeTransfer — Send large files up to 2GB for free.
  • Zamzar — Free online file conversion service.
  • Anchor — An iPhone app that allows you to broadcast short audio clips to a global audience in seconds and your listeners to respond.
  • Audacity — Free, open source, cross-platform audio editor and recorder for Windows, macOS, GNU/Linux and other operating systems.
  • LICEcap — Create GIFs in minutes.
  • CrankWheel — Instantly share your computer screen, browser tab, or app with anyone.
  • Loom — Record and share video messages of your screen, cam, or both. Faster than typing an email or meeting live. Free to use on Mac, Windows, Chrome, iOS…
  • Nimbus Screen Capture — Screen capture full web pages or any part of a page. Edit screenshots. Record screencasts.
  • DeepL Translator — Translate text from any language.
  • Flickr — Image and video hosting service, and online community.
  • Redbubble — Exhibit and sell your art to the world for free.
  • Shutterstock — Sell your photos on the leading stock photo agency in the industry.
  • Smugmug — Protect, share, store, and sell your photos.
  • Animoto — Cloud-based video creation service that produces video from photos, video clips, and music into video slideshows, and customized web-based presentations.
  • Discord — The easiest way to talk over voice, video, and text. Talk, chat, hang out, and stay close with your friends and communities.
  • Read2Me — Convert any website or file into a podcast.
  • RenderForest — Free online video and slideshow maker.

Today's Fun Links

  • Patapap - Fancy yourself a musician? If so, Patapap is for you. Press any letter key on your computer's keyboard and the website will play sounds and animations for you. You never know what kind of ideas you will get of out of your visit!
  • Drench - A really fun, albeit addictive game. To win, you need to "drench" the entire board with one single color. But you only have 30 seconds to do so. Be prepared for dozens of attempts...
  • PostSecret - This website has been around for a very long time. The creator shares anonymous secrets written by real people on postcards. A word of warning: Some of the content may be difficult to read, due to the topics broached. If you have writer's block, though, the website can provide great ideas for impactful stories!
  • Behind the Name - Looking for the etymology and history behind a specific first name? You will find the answer there. Even names from mythology and fiction are included.
  • Don’t Even Reply - By now, you probably know that I enjoy responding to spammers' emails. (You can check out my Fun with Spammers series here.) Well, guess what? There is someone who does the same thing, but with Craigslist ads! Hilarious, to say the least.
  • Open Puppies - Yes, cats are great! We all know that. But dogs rock too. Every time you hit the space bar on your keyboard, the website will show you a different GIF or clip. No offence to Cathy Holmes's Abigail, but dogs are winning today...

Check out parts 1 and 2 below.

I hope you found this list useful. Now, it is your turn to speak. What are your favorite online tools and resources? I will add them to my next list and mention you.

That's it for today! Thank you for reading!
