Get Your S*** Together!

How to Start Organizing Your Life!

If your life were a plate, it would be piling up to the point where you can't carry it at all! School assignments, work, your best friend's birthday is coming, and bills are due and so much more is coming... So how do you keep track of it all and stay sane? Well, let's get started and find out!

Planners come in all shapes and sizes and you don’t need the name brand ones (Mambi, Bullet Journal, etcetera, etcetera...) to get the same affects, You can always use a regular sketch journal or any journal for the bujo for example. I would suggest, if you want everything together and customer to your needs, to try using a disc bound note book or a binder. So that way you can always remove and never worry about ripping apart the spine of the book.

There are many things you can add to your life planner. Some ideas are and not limited to;

  • A calendar (monthly and weekly)
  • An address book
  • Goal tracker
  • A take out menu pocket

You have many options on what to put into your life planner, but never feel overwhelmed and obligated to be as creative as others. Some people like to really decorate their planners and make them into art, you don't have to do that.

Now many of you may think, "Oh well, I can use my phone, because I always have it on me..." Understandable, but keep this in mind, your phone battery is eventually going to die and you might not be able to get the information at times.

With a life planner not only can you be on point with what is coming up next week but you can:

  • Budget your money
  • Track your goals
  • Organize your upcoming projects

And so much more!

Prioritize your tasks, goals, projects, and everything in between. A good way you can do this is by writing them all down and dividing them in four groups. The groups are Very important/Most important, Important, Mild, and not much important. I believe that's self explanatory on how to solve which subject goes where, but if you need help, watch the video above.

How do you tackle an army of 100 when you only have an army of 10? you will take them down one group at a time, right? If there is a lot of clutter in your life, Schedule a week with the goal of an organized home. Wether it being a sack of laundry on Monday, cleaning out your email inbox on Tuesday and Mopping the entire place on Wednesday; all that matters is you get it done.

This can be considered with many situations so to say. If you have so many school projects coming, schedule which ones you will tackle, then do it. If you just schedule it and don't do it, you're not getting anywhere.

Take time to relax. Not saying be lazy, but accept the fact not everything can be done in one day. Rome wasn't built in a day, Take the time to relax and recollect yourself then get back into it!

We all have times where it is hard to organize our minds to get everything done. This is what I normally do on a daily basis to always keep on top of everything that I need to take care of. I hope this helps you and you start busting out your goals!
