Before we take a deep dive, let me give you a little background.

What is an Eclipse?

According to the Oxford Dictionary, an eclipse is…

an obscuring of the light from one celestial body by the passage of another between it and the observer or between it and its source of illumination.

There are two types: solar and lunar.

A solar eclipse is when the moon passes through the Earth and the sun and produces a shadow on the Earth.

A lunar eclipse is when the Earth passes through the sun and the moon producing a shadow on the moon.

When Does Eclipse Season Begin?

The eclipse season will begin on April 30, 2022.

Here is a list of all the eclipse dates and their associated Zodiac signs:

April 30th: (Taurus) Solar eclipse

May 15th: (Scorpio) Lunar eclipse

October 25th: (Scorpio) Solar eclipse

November 8th: (Taurus) Lunar eclipse

How Do Eclipses Affect Us?

Eclipses are often markers for change in our lives. With eclipses come fresh starts and often abrupt and difficult endings.

There could be changes concerning:

Where you live

Where you work

Your relationships

Your career

Your finances

Eclipses are a time when you could receive a new job out of the blue and or be abruptly fired from your old one.

You could meet the love of your life or get divorced after twenty years of marriage.

It is a time of powerful transformation.

The eclipse intensity grows even more depending on your astrological sign.

What is the Purpose of an Eclipse and What is it Meant to Teach Us

Even though eclipses are difficult, they are necessary and purposeful.

Often in life, we get too comfortable and we’re not moving forward as we should be.

There are times in life when we are shaken from our comfort place and forced out and pushed forward.

Often the process is emotionally draining and difficult but is ultimately for our highest good so we can grow and evolve.

Solar eclipses lean more toward new beginnings, whereas lunar eclipses lean more towards endings.

What Should We Do to Experience the Best Outcome During This Time?

During the time of an eclipse, it’s best to embrace the changes that take place rather than resisting.

Fighting the change will prove pointless and only make things worse.

It’s best to ride the wave and go with the flow.

It’s also the perfect time to go within.

Spending some quiet time alone, meditating, journaling, and taking walks in nature will all prove to be helpful activities at this time.

If things do get a little crazy, try to focus on what lessons you can learn from the situation.

Stay positive and hopeful and things will turn out for the best.
