We all love it when things are conveniently easy to manage or maintain. Being organized can also create a great, positive feeling. Finding cool, new hacks for some do-it-yourself projects or tricks can also be very cool because you learn things you may not have ever thought of before. If you happen to be in the market for a vehicle because you are in need of some upgrades, then here are some things you can do in any car to make up for the cool things that a lot of the new trucks and cars have in them.

  1. Use your ashtray (if you have one) as a phone docking station. This is perfect if you do not smoke and need to mount it up for safe driving. Another great trick to be hands free is to use a rubber band to strap your phone to an air vent. One more trick would be for the very old cars that still have cassette tape players. These happen to fit some phones inside just enough to hold it in place and protect it.
  2. Use a plunger to pull out dents. This is an old trick, but a good one.
  3. Use the old tennis ball on a string trick. These days, the newer cars have sensors and cameras to help you park and safely pull into places.
  4. Nail polish is great as touch-up paint. This is also an oldie but goodie.
  5. If you have heated seats, then remember that they are great for keeping food warm on the way home.
  6. Pool noodles can be used in the garage on the walls where impact could be with the car door. This is the best idea ever and everyone has a noodle available in their garage.
  7. Tooth paste is good for cleaning the headlights of your car. This will help brighten up the lights and seem as if they were brand new.
  8. Shoe organizers are great for back seat organizers. This is especially for those of you who have kids. Parents' cars can quickly become disorganized and thrashed.
  9. Women's stockings seem to be very useful in a car's maintenance. If you are missing and in need of a windshield wiper blade, then wrap a stocking around the metal so there is protection for your glass. They are also great for silencing the noise in between the pulleys.
  10. Use clear nail polish on cracked windows to help prevent the spread of the break. This will help save you some time before you have to purchase a new window.
  11. If you have an extra chemical organizer, then use it to keep your much needed fluids together in your trunk, just in case.
  12. Using a box of dryer sheets are a great replacement for car fresheners. They last a lot longer and stay much fresher.

These are just to name a few of the cool things that can be hacked into your vehicle's life. A lot of these may be well known, but every day there is someone learning to do something new to make life easier for them while they are behind the wheel and when they are not. Have you ever had a crazy idea that just so happened to work out? It could have been a happy accident, or maybe you are just very mechanically inclined, but everyone has a few "ah-ha" moments in their life. If you can make it easier to be able to be safer on the road as well as keep things organized, then you would definitely do it.
