How to renovate your bathroom on a budget, or with limited time or resources.

Let's face it: Sometimes, we've spent so much time in our own house that even a beautiful bathroom can become boring. However, even if we desire something new to spice up this living space, it isn't always feasible to call up the contractor and prepare for a fully-fledged renovation. Stuff like that takes a lot of time out of our personal lives, as well as lots of money from our wallets that, maybe, we can't necessarily afford whenever we want. While suddenly renovating your bathroom may not be a realistic option for you, there are still some cheap and simpler actions that can be taken to fix your bathroom up, without considering renovation at all.

Paint Wall Tiles

Many people don't know this, but you can paint your wall tiles. Just like you would paint your regular walls, there is a market that specifically sells paint that works on wall tiles. This is really an amazing option for those who want a stunning transformation, without having to hire and pay someone to retile your bathroom. The good news is that this process is relatively inexpensive, and as long as you follow the instructions correctly, you may be able to do the process all by yourself. Make sure to do all the grout cleaning before starting this process, to make sure it looks as professional as possible.

Install Some New Shelving

This one might require a friend or a crafty hand, but installing shelves is a way to add more storage space to your bathroom, and will also give it a new look. All that is required for installation is a drill, a hammer, some screws, and maybe a few other simple tools. As long as you have some experience working with your hands, this should be a relatively easy task that requires no outside hiring, and minimal spending. If you need any instructions on how to manually install shelves, please consider this page.

Change The Mirror Pieces

Wall mirrors are such an iconic part of any bathroom, and they can really make or break the aesthetic of a bathroom. If you have old mirrors that are scratched up, dull, or just not the style you are aiming for, getting new mirrors might be a great solution to making a noticeable change in your bathroom. Consider getting a fancier mirror, with borders that reflect the aesthetic you are aiming for; match your current sink, tub, or toilet fixtures; or just look more updated, if your bathroom is trapped in past styles. A nice mirror will brighten up the whole look of your bathroom, without any major changes.

Paint Your Vanity Cabinets

Another simple one. If you can't paint your tiles for some reason, you can always paint your vanity cabinets. A new color on your vanity will completely give off a new vibe in your bathroom. Additionally, because the bathroom vanity is used so much, and is exposed to water and other substances on a daily basis, it can get worn down quickly. Even if you give your vanity a similar color of paint that it originally comes with, a paint job will still give your bathroom a new and polished look, bringing it back to life. This is another job you can probably do by yourself, without any complications. If you know someone artistic, you can ask them to create new designs to amp up the look of your vanity. It is definitely worth the consideration.

Bathroom renovations can be very expensive and time-consuming, so it is good to consider some of the cheaper and simpler options, to bring life back into your bathroom space. There are numerous things you can do, and things you can buy, to fix up your bathroom before considering renovation, so be creative when doing so.
