WhistlePig is a premium whiskey brand that is renowned for its high-quality spirits. The company was founded in 2007 and is based in Vermont, USA. They produce a variety of whiskey types, including Rye, Boss Hog, and Old World. Their flagship product, the WhistlePig 10 Year Old Rye, is known for its smooth and complex flavor profile, with notes of vanilla, spice, and caramel.

WhistlePig is also known for their creative and innovative approach to whiskey production, from the sourcing of their ingredients to the aging and bottling process. They use a unique blend of rye grains, sourced from Canada, and aged for a minimum of 10 years in new American Oak barrels. They also have a cask finish program where they finish the whiskey in various types of casks such as port, calvados, and madeira to add unique flavor profiles.

This month, are you sipping your Old Fashioneds dry, wet, or perhaps a little bit of both?

WhistlePig has you covered in January with its Dry Orange Fashioned and Wet Orange Fashioned bottled cocktails, regardless of how you intend to consume alcohol or whether you want to abstain from it during Dry January.

Liz Rhoades, head of whiskey development at WhistlePig Whiskey, says, "We believe WhistlePig fans should be able to enjoy a flawlessly balanced 100 percent Rye Old Fashioned whether they're sipping it dry, wet, or in between".

Each serving of these two limited-edition drinks supplies 10% of the daily recommended amount of vitamin C and is created with barrel-aged maple syrup and Sunkist Orange essence. The wet version replaces the non-whiskey with the genuine article, WhistlePig PiggyBack 100 percent rye whiskey, while the dry version uses only 100 percent rye non-whiskey. According to her, both are excellent Old Fashioneds, and individuals may choose to drink one or the other based on their tastes.

In an effort to replicate the in-bar experience as closely as possible with both versions, Rhoades says, "our ambition to push the boundaries of what's possible with rye prompted us to experiment with older whiskey and the greatest barrel-aged components." The brilliant perfume of Sunkist's grove-to-glass citrus pulled it all together because the orange is too frequently an afterthought in home cocktails.

For $49.99, you can get the limited-edition bottled drinks from this store. Through the bartending organization Turning Tables, all of the revenue from each bottle will benefit bartenders countrywide. With less patronage than usual, the plan is to assist bartenders in getting through Dry January.

One-third of the limited edition bottles of the two cocktails that WhistlePig introduced in bottles were sold in the first week of the year. She declares, "The launch is off to a fast start." We are on track to make at least twice as much money as we did during the previous Dry January because Dry and Wet are neck and neck, and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the bartending industry.

WhistlePig produced a 100% rye "non-whiskey" last year to commemorate Dry January that also helped raise money for the bartending industry.

After the success of the Dry January campaign the previous year, Roades explains, "we started experimenting with evolutions (of various cocktails) last spring." By the beginning of the summer, we had achieved a dry orange style that we were happy with. With time to spare, we pushed ourselves to improve it further and kept coming back to what the orange is capable of.

She claims that Sunkist's philosophy and its "grove to garnish tale" are a perfect match for the WhistlePig Farm.We collaborated with them in the early fall, using their fresh Valencia orange essence to finish the drinks, and we enjoyed testing barrel-aged oranges ahead of time

She claims that both drinks are perfectly balanced and provide drinkers with a healthy dose of vitamin C.

According to Rhoades, the company wants consumers to first experience the dry orange old-fashioned this month before switching to the wet old-fashioned after the month is complete.

In addition to their traditional whiskey offerings, WhistlePig also has a line of non-alcoholic mixers and aperitifs like Orange Old Fashioned, that can be enjoyed by everyone.

In conclusion, WhistlePig is a highly-regarded whiskey brand that offers a wide range of high-quality spirits and innovative non-alcoholic options that can be enjoyed by all.
