Epson printers are well-known for their printing services and design. You can easily find a perfect Epson printer for your home or office. These printers are very budget-friendly and offer reliable services. But like any other hardware, you can face some errors with Epson devices from time to time. Whenever you get an error code on Epson, find the cause and fix it immediately.

Troubleshooting Epson printer error codes

Restart the PC and printer

You can get any error code on the Epson printer when the device meets a runtime error. You can easily fix the problem by restarting the devices. Restart your PC and Epson printer. Reconnect the devices and try to take a printout with your Epson device.

Use a printer troubleshooter

If you are getting an Epson error 0xf1 code on the device then use a printer troubleshooter. This error appears when some of the printer files are not working. In Windows, you get an inbuilt printer troubleshooter. Go to the Update & Security tab and open the troubleshooter. Now search for a printer troubleshooter. Run the tool and wait for a while. This inbuilt tool will check all the printer files. If any printer file is corrupted, this tool will fix it. After running the troubleshooter, go to the printer and check for the error code.

Inspect the printer connection

You can get errors with the printer when the connection gets interrupted unexpectedly. Go to the printer and check for the connection. Eject the USB cord from both devices and check for any damage. If the cable is damaged then get a new one. Purchase a high-speed USB cable for your printer. If the printer is connected wirelessly, check for the Wi-Fi. Restart the Wi-Fi of the printer and wait. Your printer will start searching for all nearby networks. Select the correct network and take your printouts easily.

Reset your Epson printer

Some users reported that they are getting the Epson printer-related error after making some changes to the printer settings. You may have made some invalid changes to your printer. To fix the error, you have to undo those changes. If you don’t remember the inbuilt settings of your Epson printer then you should use the reset option. Go to the printer and open the Menu. Go to Settings and look for the Reset option. Select the Factory Reset option. Click on the Confirm button and your printer will reset to factory settings. Now wait until the printer gets reset. You should only reset your Epson printer to factory settings if you know the configuration steps. You have to reconfigure your printer after factory settings. Configure the printer to your PC and now check for errors.

Check your Epson printer driver

A printer driver is necessary for your device. Without the driver, your Epson printer can’t understand the command. This driver is like a bridge that transfers your print commands from your PC to the printer. You must have this driver on the commanding device. Go to the PC and check for an Epson printer. If you don’t have this driver then install it. But if you already have the driver then you should check for updates. Update your printer driver and now take the printouts.

Check the cartridges

Epson printers offer high-quality printouts. But sometimes, you may get errors when the cartridges are not working correctly. Go to your Epson printer and eject all the installed cartridges. Now check all your cartridges for any damage. If any cartridge is damaged then replace it. You should not use a third-party cartridge on the printer. Your Epson printer may not recognize the cartridge and will show errors. If the ink level is low, refill your cartridges. Reinstall the cartridges carefully and now check for errors.

Inspect the printhead

If your Epson printer is not printing correctly then check the printhead. This printhead often gets clogged due to dry ink. You should check the printhead often. If your printer is showing any printing error then check for printhead. Go to the utility tools and run the printer cleaning utility tool. It will remove all the dried ink from the printhead. You can also clean the printhead manually.

Power restart your Epson device

Some printer errors can appear when the services are not working. Without those services, your Epson device will stop working. You can resume those services by restarting the device. But a simple restart may not fix the error. Go to your Epson printer and eject the power cord. Now wait for about 10 seconds and reconnect the cord. The printer must start automatically. Now all the printer services will start running from the beginning. Connect your printer to the PC and now you can take your printouts.
