We all hear about comfort food, which are dishes with straightforward flavors that instantly uplift your mood. The same love goes out to comfort food desserts for individuals with a sweet craving. Some sweets don't require complex plating or flourishes. Since the flavor is what bothers people the most out of all the components, they are the finest when consumed in their pure and simple form. The custard is one such treat.

There are many ways to dress it up, including fruit custard, caramel custard, meringue, nuts, cream, sugar mesh, salted caramel, and chocolate ganache, but even a spoonful of plain homemade custard with a unique vanilla flavor may take your breath away.

1- Simple Fruit Custard Recipe:

One dessert that can be found at practically every gathering is fruit custard. This delightful post-meal dessert combines the goodness of fruits with traditional custard made with eggs, sugar, milk, cardamom, and a dash of vanilla.

Ingredients:

• 4 egg yolks

• 3 tablespoons of sugar

• 400ml milk

• 100 ml cream

• 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence

• 4 green cardamom cloves

• 1 tablespoon of flour

• 1 1/2 cups freshly cut fruits

Instructions:

Egg yolks and sugar are whisked over a double boiler. Combine milk, cream, vanilla extract, and green cardamom in a pan. They should be well combined before being slightly cooled.

Pour the beaten eggs into the pan. Stir it slowly and keep it on a low flame. Combine 1 Tbsp of flour with 2 Tbsp of infused milk in a small bowl. They should be mixed in. The custard will thicken as a result.

To remove the cardamom, strain the custard mixture into a dish. Drop this custard over the fruit that has just been chopped. Chill and serve cold.
