Is it Tom, Dick, Harry or You? Who to blame?

Often In dire or unforeseen circumstances, our mind wanders in search for a Mr. & Mrs. Stress, and their children Blame Jr. & Anxiety Jr. They are both a catastrophe and one needs to approach them carefully. and resolve minus the creepy stuff our body does in exaggeration.

Exaggeration? It is brain noise, that's it.

You mean NOISE?

'Brain' the most complex organ of human existence. But, it is noisy; not the audible noise, but the silent noise behind real thinking. More of a background-level noise interfering with the real ideas. The noise that loud for some and negligible for others. Some call it 'the inner critic', but since I'm technical I go with the background noise. It can be painful and the world needs to acknowledge that.

It often mixes with original thoughts, influences conclusions, and makes your mother shout: "you're not thinking straight". It kills understanding, and spoils creativity. But, is the noise worth acknowledging? Only, if it is reasonable. Walking to a café, witnessing 5 women standing and freaking out about it; this is not a reason. The situation presents no real danger to anyone, unless you find evidence of physical threat pointed to you. I mentioned a weird example because, in situations like this, the noise amplifies, and what follows is a response, i.e. :

  • palpating heart,
  • body tension,
  • quiver (in some people),
  • awkward behavior

But, seriously ask your brain, "really dude? YOU kidding me right now?" Is the noise necessary? The kind of thought prompts include: "are they judging me right now? do I look ugly". Reality is neither is provable, and that brain needs to chill. It only makes you foggy and forgetful.

Inhale, and then exhale and inhale and ex...

Once, you have acknowledged the over-vigilant behavior, you cope.

1. Let the noise slide,

2. Let the emotions waft

3. Breathe in and out

4. Let go of the tension in your muscles.

It works pretty charmingly. It calms the nerves and relieves the stress symptoms. Sure, it takes a while, but they become disappear woof!

You did it!

Aren't you the Jedi? You have done what many won't frequently. They seldom clear their mind and entertain bogus thoughts in exchange for self-doubt.

So is it Tom, Dick, or Harry?

Let's roll back to 'Who to blame?'. Ideally, no one; not the neighbor, the raccoon, the giraffe, or the weird dude. You can't prove it if you don't have evidence. Even if you could prove it, know that there is a lot of play here. If you can't answer infinity you can't keep 'on blamin...

A plus point

Appreciation can do wonders in a world that is dabbled in fret and forgetfulness. A kind word can propel one in the correct direction. So don't hold yourself back, and appreciate but don't flatter people. I read this in 'How to win friends and influence people' by Dale Carnegie, a must-read if you want to learn successful social skills.

But, how come?

Every human carries some charm, while some realize early as a consequence of fruitful habitat, others struggle to unravel their mystery. The catalyst is appreciation, the more the better. Appreciation strengthens psychology and elevates immunity to anxiety disorders.

But why 'Monsieur'?

A lack of appreciation cooks loneliness and invites depression for dinner. We all know what they chat about so better avoid this gathering. Let me ping you regardless that these lower contentment and pave way for harmful actions, be it holding a grudge, or envying others and the like.

I'll do a takeaway, please...

So the takeaways:

  • Don't fixate on thoughts and events.
  • Kill the background noise when focusing.
  • Keep body relaxed at all times.
  • Appreciate others.

Better keep it that way!
