You are never to old to start a new career!

So you have a big dream…?

Something you want to accomplish…?

But then you tell yourself there’s a “problem”.

“What’s the problem?”

“I’m too old”.

Then you say…

“Too old to start a new career”…

Or…

“Too old to write a book”…

Or maybe it’s…

“Too old to start a business”…

You are telling yourself that your age is a barrier to your success.

Here’s some inspiring facts

Stan Lee, the creator of Marvel, created his first hit comic at 39.

He went on to create characters like Spiderman that still fuel imaginations everywhere today.

Donald Fisher, at aged 40, opened his first ever retail store in 1969.

It was called “Gap” – and is still around today.

Vera Wang, at the same age of 40, decided to start a fashion line.

She’s done incredibly well for herself.

Harland Sanders decided to start a chicken restaurant aged 62.

It became K.F.C.

Ray Croc saw the opportunity with a burger stall aged 52.

He called it “McDonalds”.

Martha Stewart started a catering company that became a cooking empire, in her 40s.

Julia Child didn’t start acting until her 50s.

Harry Bernstein wanted to write a book all his life.

He finally did, aged 93, and it became a bestseller when it was published at 96.

Gladdys Burrill ran her first marathon at 86.

Then won awards when she ran a marathon in Honolulu at 92.

Peter Roget was 69 when he started to create a catalogue of words categorised by their meaning.

“Rogets Thesaurus Of English Words And Phrases” was published when he was 73.

Kathryn Joosten started working as a street performer aged 53.

At aged 60 she was starring in the show The West Wing and won an emmy.

I could go on and on.

The idea that “we’re too old” to go after our dreams is pervasive in today’s society.

Many of us think that our ship has sailed and we’ve missed the boat that would have made our dreams come true.

But that’s just a thought.

People everywhere…

Everyday…

Are achieving their dreams in life…

…no matter how old they are.

So if you’ve ever had the thought “I’m too old to start a new career”…

You’re wrong!

For most people, it's the fear of experiencing something new that blocks their goals and dreams. They find it easier to keep doing what they have been for years.

You don't have to be twenty years old to start a new career. It's never to late to try something new and also become really good at it. As long as you do it with passion, it is possible to succeed. Stop being indecisive. Do it today!

To fulfill your passion, you do not have to pursue the same specific career as you did when you were younger. You change and evolve. Your passions can change over time or you may have had a dream and goal that you have never pursued from when you were younger. You may be successful in the career you have now, but you still dream of the career you really would love to do.

When you finally decide to pursue your passion and change your career, you will become more productive. When you do something with love, you don't tire as easily. Work becomes fun. You will get a sense of purpose that will change your life.

By calling the shots, you will be the person in charge of your success and growth. Don't let the idea scare you. This will only stop you from exploring your potential.

By choosing something you really enjoy, it is impossible not to succeed. People around you will see how happy you are with your choice and you destiny will work in your favour. You will have all the reasons to work in the direction you want to.

To change your career, is also to change your lifestyle. It will give you a sense of purpose and make you put you first.

A shift in career represents an investment in yourself, as well. You will benefit from the opportunity of doing something new. Thus, you will get out of your routine and discover that you have the skills you never knew about. Also, you will become more determined to learn about different subjects. So, you will enter a phase of continuous learning and discovery.

When you are choosing to do something you love, you can work for hours without it feeling like work. Your adrenaline will flow and help to keep you active discovering new methods to develop your niche.
