World Food Day 2021

Switching to a sustainable food system should start with regular consumers and the daily decisions they make about what they buy, how it is packaged, and how much is wasted. The FAO has welcomed the progress and momentum created in the reform of the food system, but analysts have suggested that the industry must interpret its ambition and work to support change. The establishment of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization plays a major role in promoting world food security in times of crisis.

World Food Day 2016 will be celebrated on October 16 to raise awareness about hunger and healthy eating habits. Its annual celebration serves as a symbol of the importance of the Food and Agriculture Organization and raises awareness of the critical need for effective agricultural politics to be used by governments around the world to ensure adequate food for all. Over the years the event has used its celebrations to focus on various aspects of food and agricultural security including fisheries, communities, climate change, and biodiversity.

World Food Day 2021 is a day that needs global awareness and shared action to fight hunger and ensure healthy food for all. World Food Day is an international day celebrated annually on October 16 and commemorates the day the United Nations founded the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (Food and Agriculture Organization) in 1945. It is celebrated by many other organizations dealing with hunger and food insecurity, including the World Food Program, the World Health Organization, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development.

The 2021 World Food Day celebrations kicked off with a global event today where participants pointed out that while the challenges of global hunger and climate change, as well as COVID-19, still look strong, there is new strength and energy behind efforts to transform our agricultural food system to achieve its goal. The theme for this year's World Food Day is "Our actions and our future: better productivity, better nutrition, better environment and better health" (FAO's official website). The theme for the 2019 World Food Day was "Zero Hunger," to make sustainable and healthy food available to all.

Under the slogan "Our actions are our future," this year's World Food Day calls on food heroes to contribute to the transformation of the agricultural food system to achieve better productivity, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life for all those left behind. Our decisions and actions can make a difference, and through the activities of World Food Day, we can follow the food journey from our farm to our table and the great efforts of food heroes who produce food for everyone no matter what the circumstances.

FAO highlights the work of international nutritionists working on similar issues. This year, the focus is on celebrating heroic heroes, people who help build a sustainable world where no one goes hungry. The idea is that we are all food heroes who contribute to the idea of building a world without hunger.

The day marks and celebrates the establishment of FAO in 1979 recommended by the former Hungarian Minister of Agriculture and Food, Dr. Pal Romany. The Hungarian delegation led by Dr. Romany played a prominent role in the 20th General Assembly of the FAO General Assembly and promoted the concept of World Food Day (WFD). Over time, this has led to increased awareness of hunger, malnutrition, and stagnant food production.

In addition, the multi-platform campaign will celebrate our food heroes - farmers, producers, and others who provide food to their communities. A total of 34 countries will participate in activities aimed at promoting rural transformation, urban food programs, and intensified agricultural nutrition programs through growth, investment-based partnerships, and relevant partners targeting the world's poorest.

Investing in food security and rural development by 2018, our actions on our future in 2019, and healthy food and global hunger by 2020: grow, nurture and sustain. In celebration of World Food Day in Mongolia, it has become a tradition that food safety research conferences are organized by the Department of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, the UN-FAO Mission in Mongolia, and in partnership with the Mongolian Food Industry Association. Food Security Conferences promote research, develop regulations and strategies, and acknowledge the contribution of researchers and scientists to countries in "food safety.

Food is considered a basic human right, but one in nine people in the world suffers from chronic hunger. According to World Hunger Statistics, there are 785 million people worldwide who do not have enough food to keep them healthy. The UN Environment Program (UNEP) indicates that the world produces enough food to feed everyone on earth but in a recent 2021 report 17 percent of food waste wastes.

Agriculture accounts for 70% of the world's water and food waste. More than 1.4 billion hectares of land, or 28% of agricultural land that could be used for food production, are lost or wasted.

Many of the world's food systems are weak, untested and in danger of collapse as millions of people around the world feel the effects of the COVID 19 disaster. This year, 68% of companies have committed to reducing pollution from leading food retailers and protein producers committed to five years' investment, and 68% of companies have committed themselves to the entire animal chain, rising from 48% last year to 48%. -29% in 2019. Many low-cost and efficient projects are helping hundreds of millions of people meet their food needs.
