Whether you are learning something new or switching careers; is there something that you wish you knew before you started on a career path? Or enter into a relationship? Or, perhaps, something as simple as going to a restaurant or buying an item?

What is the One Thing you Wish you Knew?

Before beginning my journey as a freelance blogger/writer; I wish I understood more about self-publishing a book and social media. Since social media has always been a challenge for me; I wish I took the time to learn more.

Consequently, as a writer, I’m always trying to get my articles to reach a lot of people. Moreover, social media is an important tool that may have helped me accomplish my goals sooner.

What is the One Thing you Wish you Knew – Career

With 2020 in the rearview mirror, many of us are reflecting on the past year and looking forward to the future. Although 2020 was a difficult year; it is time to make plans in our lives.

Indeed, the worldwide pandemic is something that none of us will ever forget. To read more about these challenging times; be sure to visit my Uncertain Times Call for Change post.

When it comes to your career, there are certain things you should do. For example, everyone should do the following:

Ask for help. If you are just starting out in your career; don’t be afraid to ask your manager for help. Whether you are looking to learn new skills or increase your opportunities in your company; it is important to let your boss know your goals.

Leadership – Are you the type of person who wants to reach the glass ceiling? Since everyone needs positive reinforcement; now is the time to express yourself as well as learn what others have done to achieve success. Be sure to visit my Celebrate Strong Inspirational Women post for inspiration.

Network – Although social distancing has put a damper on in-person meetings; you can still join groups online or interact with others through social media.

What is the One Thing you Wish you Knew – Relationships

When it comes to relationships; everyone has had some type of experience.

Whether you are in a new relationship, married, divorced, widowed, or somewhere in between; the key is you are in charge. Moreover, everyone wants to be happy.

The bottom line is the buck stops with each of us.

It is essential to remember one person may not be the person we thought they were. In essence, the importance of any relationship is learning to love ourselves and not waste time trying to change our partner.

What is the One Thing you Wish you Knew – Tips

Whether you think you know everything or not; most of us still have things to learn. In fact, some people have common sense; yet others continue to make mistakes that end up hurting themselves in the long run.

In the first place, the most important thing you should know is you are in charge of your own destiny. Whether you are looking to move to a new city, state, start a business, or begin a relationship; the key is for you to be the sole decision-maker.

Secondly, each of us will face difficult decisions in our lives. Whether it is to move, make a career change, or end a relationship (personal or business); it is essential to “Live your Best Life”.

Meanwhile, it is important to weigh the pros and cons of whether or not to do something or not.

In essence, no matter what your age is; one day you will be older.

Choose your own path!

Create your destination!

Of course, the key is to be happy with the decisions you make.

In summary, I could go on and on with things I wish I knew.
