(.......2009-2010 and on.......)

So, in 2009 I was still in high school. It was my last year of high school and I decided to take an art class and music as well. When I was in the art class I discovered that I really enjoyed drawing, painting came later. I really liked the colors that I could put on paper. I really liked the fact that I was creating something meaningful. But most of all I really liked the fact that I was making something totally original.

My classmates couldn't believe the art that I came up with. At the time, I was really inspired by nature, like I am now, this inspiration of nature continued as I grew older and more creative. I always wanted to honor the Native American and the ancient Aztecs. I really like how natural they are and were, in every day living. Color plays a big part in my art, since I discovered that I could draw.

(.......2010-2011.......)

So, I decided to focus on the colors of nature. The elephant is something that I thought I could not achieve. I always think that I cannot draw something, no matter how much I want to draw it. I let love take over, and I draw. This is all that I can do, I can set the intention that I want to draw something based on nature and with a lot of color. I take the pastels in my hand and I begin. You want to know a secret? I actually draw with both hands, not at the same time though; I am ambidextrous. I started with the left hand when I was a child and then in school I was taught to use my right hand. Interesting, no?

(.......2011-2012.......)

I continued to draw inspiration from nature, I even walked in the park to be inspired. When I was younger my father used to paint, he actually painted a portrait of Jesus Christ but he says that he can never achieve what I have achieved with my art. I strongly believe that he can paint Jesus again if he wants to. My talent comes from him and from my intuition.

Music always had a big role in my life, since I was three years old I have been listening to rock n' roll. I especially like Guns N' Roses, they are very good musicians and like my art, very interesting. I can't believe that Axl Rose is a human being, how can he have such a sound? Such depth, such an interesting voice? So, this music inspired "Musically." It's orange, it's yellow, it's art. I merge art and music, I like the two a lot.

(.......2012-2013.......)

During this time, I began to really experiment, at BMCC in Manhattan. I took life drawing classes, still life classes, graphic design classes but I chose to mostly stick to pastels and paper as a medium.

I was so happy to actually draw Lady Gaga and to share it with others as I grew as an artist. I think that a lot of people cannot even believe that this portrait is done by hand; it's exact, it shows her emotions.

(done 2013-2015)

(.......2013-2014.......)

So when I was at BMCC, I discovered that I really liked painting as well, here I would still use a lot of color. I took a lot of art classes and only got A's. This made me so elated and full of joy, I actually grew in my art, I prospered, I was able to paint, and then the clients came.

I put my art on the internet and surely but slowly I became an art entrepreneur. My customers consist of people that love art and love to collect art, people that actually APPRECIATE ARTISTS and what they stand for and what they do.

(done 2013)

(.......2014-2015.......)

I went back to my roots and focused again on the Aztec and Native American for these three paintings. If you look closely, to the middle one you can see a face in the middle bottom square. I painted this painting in an art class, I came home with it and my father said, "look, there's a face in the middle of it". I haven't even thought to achieve that face in the painting, I didn't even see it until my father pointed it out to me. I believe that it's Vincent. We focused on squares in that class that day.

To be an artist is something extraordinary. Words cannot describe the art world and the artists in it, it's a phenomena, remarkable.

(done 2012-2013)

(.......2015-2016.......)

Clearly, I went back to soft pastels. Through the years, I focused to do art that is modern, maybe even art for the future. It is said that an artist is a very smart human being, he makes art that will be appreciated a hundred years from now. Ponder on this for a minute, it's something very interesting I think.

(.......2016-2017.......)

Colorful Existence, Face, and the Sun came into the picture, the art world was astonished. I had a crush on someone and I tried to draw him, but in an abstract manner. I loved the sun since I can remember and I wanted to showcase how powerful it is and I always liked to showcase color so I created Colorful Existence.

(........2017-2018.......)

Free Bird, as Lynyrd Skynyrd would say. I loved rock n' roll so much during these years. I could listen to it all day, I listened to it while I created, I was very much inspired by this type of music, it calms my soul and it inspires my creativity.

Rose, I wanted to use colors that I have never used before. I wanted to use a lot of yellow in particular because it was my favorite color at the time. As you probably learned by now, I like colors a lot. I like color like nobody else, I really see something in it that nobody else sees.....

This piece stands alone, it took me about five hours. (I realized that I am telling you almost all of my art secrets, well if you must know, it's fine.) I will create even more secrets "as time goes by."

I have a good group of people that support me with my art, I am honored. This piece represents them, America and the artists of today.

(done 2014 and on, everything is on my website)

(.......2019-Present.......)

In conclusion, I honestly love what I do. I love to create, inspire and empower myself and others. Art is something that I will always do, I will always paint, this I know.

Many, many artists have inspired me and I want to be able to inspire others like they inspired me. Ultimately, my art is something new and modern, nature based and something that has a lot of structure and depth.

I know this, I know that I will always be inspired to create and to share my art with the world because art is life, it is like a breath of fresh air. Vincent van Gogh painted the wind, and I want to paint nature's true colors.

Do you like my art? Then, visit Modern Nature Art by Xandra Breban today. Share, share as much as you can, this art has to be seen. Art prospers even today, this will never change, honestly. Art will continue to be something that we will cherish forever, for a long time and why not? It's extraordinary, to say the least. It's something that has a lot of meaning and inexplicable magic, it's true.

If you have questions about my art, let me know, I'll be more than happy to answer them.

**The timeline is of when work was done and worked on and showcased as well.

Thank you :)
