Throughout the day, we spend our time meeting lots of people in the foodservice business. We have some rude customers as well. Maybe it is time for people to start voicing their opinions about what is going on in the world today. There is so much hate in the world that people don't know how to be kind anymore. It is sometimes nice to see how many good people there are in the world. However, people that are always angry probably didn't have a good life. It is crazy to spend your whole day grumpy and act like a fool in public. Being in the food business means you have to kill them with kindness; and not let your emotions show. Sometimes people have a hard time dealing with the world because their parents did not teach them how the world works and how to stand up for themselves.

The ethical standards that we see now are nothing compared to the work ethic that we try to instill into our brains that you had to work hard for what you want out of life. However, that is not the case anymore when it comes to people just not showing up for work, calling out all the time because they want the night off. Being late all the time, being lazy is what the world is going to do right now because this new generation thinks that they should show up and do absolutely nothing but serving and make money. Some people want to work the third shift because it is not that busy, and they can be lazy because no one wants to go above and beyond anymore. Very few and far between when you find the right set of people to run things the way they should.

However, you still have a business to run and making sure that your people are going the extra mile to make sure our customers are happy with the services we have provided them today. When you work for a restaurant business, you get to know the community around your store. Therefore, customers that come into our establishment are the ones we call regulars customers because you learn their names. We spend time learning all we can about the people we serve. Out the people you provide service to is interesting because they have different tastes. People you work with becoming acquaintances or even friends. However, when you are in a management position.

Moreover, trying to get people to work together for their life is like pulling teeth to get people to listen to what you have to say. Then you have some that like to argue over everything that you speak to them. The worst thing that people can say is "I know how to do my job"! Well, you said you knew how to do the job. However, you would do the job the way you should do it; and not complain when you get told you are doing it wrong. How can anyone possibly work for a company one day and already know how to do the job. It is so hard not to tell people the truth about their work ethic. Granted, everyone may have those days where you don't want to do anything because you don't feel good or don't feel like going the extra mile to make sure you are doing the best you can with your job.

Most of the time, upper management does reach out to show or say that you are doing a good job. Some things throughout this world are somewhat hard to understand in the world we live in because people do not want things to change. These days because there is so much going on, no one slows down to listen or watch. People spend most of their time playing games, scrolling through social media, and just not paying attention to anyone around them. You can go into a restaurant and find four or five tables of people who are not conversing with anyone but just paying attention to their phones. Even children have to have some media device to keep them calm so; they don't bug their parents.

Most of the time useless, information that they are watching. Not everyone has a built-in babysitter so, the parents can do what they like and not pay attention to what is in front of them. The years go by, and you don't know who your children are because you did not have an interest in their life; make them get off social media. When will you teach your children how to work and make a living for themselves if you don't give them chores and teach them responsibility. So many children and teenagers do not know anything about balancing certain things you need to know when you reach adulthood.

For example, balance a checkbook, paying bills, cooking food, or anything like that. Parents push them out in the world to fend for themselves, or they decide to go on their own to see what they can make of their life. As parents, you have to stand your ground and make the most of your life. They are supposed to succeed their parents, but nowadays you see the opposite. They do not want to do anything they should not have to and do not want to put forth the effort of being the best that there is to have in this world. You need to make the most of your life and live it to the fullest.

Amazingly, what you can write about when you sit down to write about your day can be about anything in the world or what you have done during the day. How your workday went or did anything exciting happen while you were working. Well, let's chat a little while about the things that can or have to happen at work. We have seen quite a bit of things happen at our work. For example, one day you, go into work and help take out the trash from the previous shift and check around to see if it needs cleaning, but you find a homeless man sleeping behind the dumpster. How crazy is that to get to work and find that. We have; had a customer come in, sit down and perform a ritual when they allowed smoking in restaurants; it was the craziest thing we had seen.

Well, today is August 31; she woke at 530 things morning and went to work. Of course, it is always a slow start when the shift starts getting busier as the day goes by. We did $1405 today, and it went rather well. Of course, we see mostly; regulars that come to our store. Deb and Gary come in, and they get Texas bacon egg on plain bread, and he gets an original cheeseburger with onions and an overwell egg on it. Jimmy and Denise come in and talk to all the customers in the building because we are a close community. We have many regular customers, and they are like family because they are always happy to see the same people cooking for them and serving them. When you have new people that come into work, your customers are probably; wondering where the older people are since they have not been at work lately.

Robert is another regular who comes in and gets a variety of meals during the week that he comes inside, and he orders is a triple scrambled with wheat toast, and usually bacon and sausage. Sometimes he will meet his buddy Sam they served at the same time in the war what-a small world! Then we have Mr. Milton and Denise who, come in, and they have a variety of favorite food that they get as well depending on the day. Brian and Alya; come in, and most of the time, they will get a bacon egg cheese biscuit; however, today, they both had a fiesta sausage hold the ham omelet with grits and toast. Mr. Tony comes in from time to time and gets an over-medium plate with hash-browns. We also have some customers that come in that work for a church in the neighborhood. They are sweet ladies and have brought food boxes to the people that work there. There are good people in the world, and we enjoy the job that we do to serve our customers. We see so many people throughout the day that you get to know the people; that you are cooking for or serving. You know what they like and how they like it, and you cannot settle for anything less than what they want when they come into our place of work.

We had one regular customer come in, sat down, and asked about Shannon and Louise, and I told her that they were out sick; and would be back tomorrow. She thought it was scary and wanted to see everyone's COVID19 result. Of course, she left and probably won't be back for a while, but there is no reason to ask something like that because that is our private information, and we do not have to disclose that information to anyone. People are crazy these days when you start asking people to share their medical history with them. I think not! The nerve of people thinking that you are just going to voice your medical records to them is insane! What has happened to the world today; why should we have to put up with this madness. The world is in such disarray, and no one seems to care; are we going to have to prove to everyone if we are fully vaccinated? What are people thinking about when it comes to asking such personal questions to people who show up to work and serve you and your family?

Well enough about that for a while. Time to continue talking about the community that lives around our workplace. They are so happy, and they love coming in to see everyone and talk about the things happening in each other's life. You often wonder what makes people go to the same place every day to get food and conversation. Then you realize that you know more about the people that come into your establishment. Who works for you that there is a warm feeling in your heart because; when they are glad to see you and happy that you are okay. After being sick, then you know that you have tons of people that care about your well-being. We love the people that come into our business because they are loyal and come to see us every day. People take for granted; everything that they have in their life, and they shouldn't because your; only given one life on earth.
