The journey of life often strikes us with a monotonous tone of finding chaos and distress in the mundanity of our daily lives. Not achieving what we set our mind to and being stuck in a downward spiral of self-doubt and self-pity is often a sign that something in our life is not going the right way. We need to take a step back and reevaluate the present situation we are in. Here are some concrete steps that you can follow to embrace change and become a better version of yourself.

1)Swot analysis - One of the most important steps to understanding yourself is to assess your present situation and draw out the areas of your strengths, and weaknesses, where you have opportunities to grow and what are the threats that hold you back. An example of this could be your innate strengths are creativity and collaboration, but you lack the routine and discipline to do it consistently. Some opportunities could ooze your creativity but there are certain threats like time gaps or lack of bandwidth that don't allow you to gain your full potential. When you assess your present situation objectively, you understand the roots of the discomfort.

2)Shadow work prompts- As you have done your swot analysis and now you want to understand the roots of your pain, the underlying causes of how you feel and why you feel. The shadow self is defined as the parts of yourself that represent the hidden and unhealed ounces of your soul, often represented as repressed emotions and the insecurities you hold. Shadowwork helps you understand the entirety of the roots of what is causing you discomfort. A very effective way of doing this could be finding shadow work prompts on the internet or Pinterest, this could help you understand where you are going wrong and what parts of you that are calling for your attention and care underneath all the discomfort.

3)Ideal self After you have done your shadow work and analyzed the parts of you that need work on, give yourself the feeling of pride for diving deeper into understanding yourself better. As you transcend into the present state in which you exist, it is time for you to draw a map of how your ideal self would be. Create a roadmap of how your ideal self would look like, and what qualities will embody. Create a script about a day in your life in the present tense and make a vision board that embodies your best self. Here are certain prompts that can help you

How does your ideal self look like

How do their mornings look like

How do their evenings look like

Their weekends

Their appearance, work, friends, habits, beliefs and their entirety as a person

4)Create solutions by how your life should be like- After you have drawn your mood board and the narrative of how your best self looks like, create tangible solutions to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. Creating small actionable solutions that are consistent in their effort allows you to work with ease without getting overwhelmed. For example, if one of your goals is being disciplined and having a fit body, you can start by waking up one hour earlier in your schedule and incorporating 20 minutes of exercise into your routine. Do it at least for 2 weeks and then gradually build your habit from there. Dedicate one week to develop each habit and do it consistently. Another way of creating actionable plans is drawing out a list of hobbies and interests and incorporating time for them into the daily routine.

Once you start taking time for yourself and investing in improving yourself, you become better and you raise your vibrational frequency to attract abundance. The best way to create a bright future is to work for it.
