Starting a business is one of the best ways to become financially independent. I've always wanted to start my own business, but was never sure how to do it.

You don't want to just start any old business though. By starting the right business, you can earn more money, provide value to others and have lots of fun in the process.

The list below covers the three best books about starting a business in my opinion along with their Amazon affiliate links below and reviews from avid readers like me and you, so you can find out why they made the list.

If you want to purchase any of the books listed below, click on the titles. They are affiliated links that will take you directly to the store.

All the Hows of a First-Time Business Owner: There is a thin line between bankruptcy and the freedom to be an entrepreneur

The book is a compilation of articles with useful insights. Highly recommended for anyone with an inkling of starting a business.

The book takes you through all the pertinent issues that one running his own business will confront. It is informative, easy to read, and full of relevant examples.

It covers important and essential aspects of entrepreneurship - how to assess business failure risk like a pro, how to write a business plan, how to thrive in another culture as an entrepreneur, the 4 types of risks that threaten a business, the 4 systems that can make a company stronger, how to get the ally that can skyrocket your business, and the most important of them - why writing a book will revolutionize the speed of growth of your business. Read this book and write and publish a book thereafter to turn your business into a high-performing business camp. Highly recommended.

The 1-Page Marketing Plan: Get New Customers, Make More Money, And Stand Out From The Crowd

I read The 1-Page Marketing Plan in one sitting. It's short, it's to the point, and it's packed with valuable information. It's written in clear language, so you don't have to be a marketing guru to understand it. It offers powerful tactics that you can apply to your business right away. I will be recommending this book to my clients. If you buy just one marketing book this year, let it be this one.

A brief, straightforward, and informative read, The 1-Page Marketing Plan is a must for those new to the marketing genre as well as those looking for a refresher. Whether applying the tactics and strategies to your own enterprise or sharing with colleagues and business partners, the book provides an easy-to-read and practical guide.

The 1-Page Marketing Plan by Allan Dib is a classic. Its lessons are time-tested and battle-tested. Whether you’re a startup or a market leader, you can use this book to develop a plan that will scale your business and make you a lot of money.

Entrepreneurial You: Monetize Your Expertise, Create Multiple Income Streams, and Thrive

This practical, well-researched book provides specific, actionable strategies that help us create multiple income streams. Dr. Foley shows how to build a business that can thrive in a world of rapidly evolving technology and work world options.

This book is a guide to help you build multiple income streams from your expertise, leveraging the Internet and social media tools, so you can thrive in our new, rapidly evolving economy.

The Entrepreneurial You is a practical guide for individuals who are ready to make the transition from employee to business owner. The book also serves as a valuable resource for business owners who want to grow their businesses through the strategic use of multiple income streams.

Entrepreneurial you (to me) is the breakthrough book for people who want to understand the proven way to self-promote themselves. First id like to start off by saying that this book is a huge eye opener to someone who is looking for ways to get their voice heard to a specific desired audience, build a following and or customer base, while doing it in a very articulately written step by step process on how to go about doing exactly that. The book will begin by explaining the reasons why you need to be able to communicate with your customers through other sources of communication besides mainstream social media outlets and the positive impact that being able to directly market to your customers can have verse indirectly.

In order for that to be achieved though you must become a trusted source and the author does an excellent job by explaining ways in which you are able to become a trusted source if not already. Getting to more of the meat of the book you start to learn and understand not only the importance but also how massively helpful being able to monetize your experiences is and that you are able to get this accomplished through a source of multiple different outlets, some that can be incorporated into others all depending on how much work you are willing to commit towards the ideas and principles that Dorie lays out through the book and through the story / examples of other people in the same field who have amassed huge amounts of success.
