A DAY IN THE LIFE
Hi everyone, before i get into anything it is only common courtesy that I introduce myself. My name is Sylvia, I'm nineteen years old, an undergraduate studying Public Health (in my third year currently) and well as you probably already know...a Nigerian. I have to say, this is my first time in years deciding to share my story anywhere else besides my diary, I am not really the outspoken one in my family so it's understandable that i only keep to myself right? Anyways, I am very passionate about writing but unfortunately not very good at it so pardon me if I make some mistakes, for a very long time I always dreamed of being a famous author, my favorite genres to write on then was romance and adventure and I very well almost always mixed the two together, I preferred putting my stories into comic form and so my first "book" was titled 'Island Bliss' and it was just basically about this girl and this guy in the same school, they were attacked by high school shooters during prom and the girl's boyfriend was shot, she was devastated and hesitant to leave him but she did and fled to a nearby dock, she jumped on a boat out of panic and the guy I spoke about earlier got in with her. When it felt safe they decided to row back but they got caught up in a storm and well was washed ashore a deserted strange island. I would love to go on and on about the story but i already feel like I'm boring you all so I will skip ahead.

Bookaholic and God
Do you all pray to God? Who do you turn to in difficult times? Being born and brought up in a Hindu family, I was always taught to pray daily before school so that God could bless us with knowledge and willingness to be a good performers in school. Well, these small prayer sessions turned into praying twice daily, keeping fasts and visiting temples regularly as I grew up, sometimes without any reason and sometimes with the desire to get something in return. We as a family used to go on a trip to our village every year where our parents made sure that certain temples were included in our itinerary and my sister and I used to go because we loved staying in hotels, eat what we want and buy toys near temples. When we were a little older our parents enrolled us for a religious summer camp where they taught us Yoga, meditation and since we were all just kids arranged certain games etc. for us. We practiced all this at home as well daily till the time we went into college and got busy with other things.

Emergency Care: Skills You Need to Survive as an ER Nurse
Nursing is a noble profession. Anyone who has dealt with serious medical needs can probably offer anecdotes on the value of a skilled, caring nurse. What not everyone realizes, however, is that there are a wide variety of careers within nursing. From ICU patients to labor and delivery cases, there are tons of different specialties a nurse can pursue. While most nurses have a broad skillset and can fill in within different departments, most of them have a “home base” where they feel comfortable. For some, this is the Emergency Room. With everything from minor broken bones to major trauma situations, the ER can be an exciting place to work. However, with a fast-paced and stressful environment it requires a unique set of skills in order to survive.
