Some freelancers (Fiverr users) make very serious mistakes that block their paths to success on Fiverr.

Fiverr is the most common, familiar, and popular freelance platform that works equally well for beginners and Pro. I have heard lots of Pro freelancers recommend Fiverr to beginners. Some new freelancers learn a lot from the platform and then move to the next platform with swag. While some new freelancers make mistakes from the beginning and they drop on the platform very soon. Beginners make some mistakes on Fiverr unconsciously that hinder their growth on the platform. To avoid these mistakes you should know the basic information about it. In this article, I will highlight all the mistakes that you should avoid on Fiverr as a beginner or Pro.

#1. Don't Steal Someone's else Gig

What did I mean by this? The first and most important step on Fiverr to sell your service is to make an attractive gig. Newbies sometimes steal a gig description from others as their smart move but they don't even realize Fiverr is smarter than them. Fiverr does not allow a plagiarised and stolen gig to be ranked on the first page thus you might not appear anywhere on Fiverr that will turn to a minimum to zero impression or click on your gig and thus zero order. Make your own gig instead of stealing from someone else.

#2. Don't Use Images Subjected to Copyrights

When it's come to adding photographs or videos that reflect your service - don't use a picture from google or pictures that are subjected to copyrights. If Fiverr noticed the picture you added is not your property - your account might be disabled because it's against Fiverr policy to add pictures you are not the owner of. And your picture will not be optimized due to which your gig might not be ranked on the site. To avoid any inconvenience make your own picture that reflects your services - For this, you can use Canva Pro software where you can buy pictures and have lots of free stock to use as well.

#3. Don't Approach the Buyers in the Inbox

As a beginner, it might be difficult to wait for your first order. You might be impatience but keeping patience is the first rule. Sometimes newbies start approaching buyers in their inbox directly. If you'll do so, Fiverr will throw your messages in the spam box or even sometimes disable you to the text again. Now it's up to the Buyer whether that person sees your text and allows you to continue or not. It's against Fiverr policy and unprofessional as well. It will leave a bad impression of your on the buyers as well. So keep patient to be happen everything in an official and professional way.

#4. Don't Purchase Fake Orders or Reviews

I have seen many people selling services of fake reviews and many newbies are purchasing their services. I know a friend of mine was complaining her account was disabled and she didn't know what happened. Then she told me Fiveer sent her an email explaining the reason for disabling - it was fake order. Fiverr detect the fake order and they immediately disabled the account.

#5. Don't Use Harsh Language with Buyers

Whenever someone approaches you through your gig - deal nicely and professionally. Don't be aggressive if things do not go in your way. There are different kinds of people on the platform, so you have to act accordingly by keeping professional ethics in mind. Be professional during interviewing, dealing, and even after the order placement. Using harsh or abusive words will put you in danger of being permanently deleted from the platform. I can understand not always it's a seller - sometime you might get a toxic buyer. If the ending doesn't turn out as expected - keep patience and be professional.

#6. Don't Provide Plagiarized Content

Only provide the services you are skilled at. Don't try to mess with Fiverr. If you think you'll do negatively smart work and will get fruitful rewards - let me clear, you think wrong. Only deliver the product as per your promise. For instant, if you'll pick writing content from Google or elsewhere and will deliver it to the client. He/she might report you to Fiverr and Fiverr will review the product immediately. This will turn the cancellation of the order - Fiverr will return the payment to the buyer along with disabling your account for a lifetime as punishment for violating their terms.

Final thought:

After the violation, Fiverr will not give you a second chance even if you beg for it. To keep your portfolio growing fast and keep it safe - you have to follow all the Fiverr terms and conditions. Fiverr is unlikely to other platforms in some aspects. It never compensates for the mistakes that violate its policies. Fiverr is not safe little bit to work on - because they never change their decision once they are done. Sometimes they disable an account due to violation - but sometimes they do so even on the base of doubt and they don't accept the clarification you give them. So be careful and avoid making mistakes on the platform as much as you can.
