Screenwriting Is One of The Most Stressful Things That I Ever Worked On

But I Won't Let That Prevent My Dreams From Coming True

" Screenwriting is like ironing. You move forward a little bit and go back and smooth things out. " - Paul Thomas Ander

The screenwriting process is one of the stressful things that I have ever done in my life. Being a writer who enjoys movies and developing storytelling, I thought it would be a piece of cake and I took a really huge interest in screenwriting but after doing research and watching videos on screenwriting, planning and working on a script of my own, and analyzing scripts of the most worldwide films such as Baby Driver, Scarface, Casino, Scream etc. Boy, I was wrong about everything! Screenwriting is such a difficult thing to do because it's visual storytelling. It's not the same storytelling like in chapter book or a novel. I am currently working on my very first script called Tales of An Scorned Vampire. The idea for this screenplay is an vampire that is suddenly awakened thirty four years after they are daggered in the chest by their former lover and buried deep inside a coffin and finally seeks revenge on them. I came up with this idea for my script because I love fantasy ( It's one of my favorite genres next to Horror), vampires (My favorite supernatural creatures other than witches), and two of my favorite films of all time: Kill Bill Vol 1 and Kill Bill Vol 2. ( I love characters, plot and concept of it.)

I have other ideas for other screenplay and an adaptation for a book such as:

- The lives of four boys turn upside down when their best friend is murdered on their game night which reveals secrets they don’t want out.

- A boy thinks he has found the girl of his dreams but will soon find out that his dream girl is nothing but a nightmare with red pumps that will lead him on a dangerous path.

- A boy’s brother disappears on the day of his birthday and the only thing that is left behind from him is a toy train. The boy must take steps to find his brother and bring him back home.

- One night at their job, the fate of four employees are tested when they attempt to survive a psycho killer dressed as the store’s mascot hunting them down one by one.

- A woman meets a man and falls in love with him but soon will realize that love is just a one-way street to hell.

- A boy falls in love with his sister’s best friend who couldn’t stand since they were kids.

- Katie Ellison, who lives in Eastport, is close to graduating from high school this year. Her boyfriend Seth Turner is a member of the high school football team. The most popular girl in her high school is her best friend and her life seems perfect, but her image of perfection is crafted by a few white lies.

- A teenage girl discovers a diary that belonged to an older woman in the same bedroom she used to sleep in.

- A woman's past comes back to haunt her when the man she wasn't too friendly enters his life for a reunion that she will never forget.

- A couple decides to take a trip to a wonderful island but will come to find out that the island is not what they thought it would be.

So many ideas huh? LOL!

I've been making changes and adjusting my very first screenplay because of all the research that I have been doing lately and I can't let someone who decides to look at my script, only read one page and put it down and never talk about it again.

Thank you so much for whoever took the time to read this story. I really appreciate it.
