Novak Djokovic is defeated by Carlos Alcaraz to win Wimbledon, giving him two major victories.

Novak Djokovic is a Serbian tennis player who is considered to be one of the greatest men's players in the history of the sport He was born on May 22, 1987 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia (which is now in Serbia). Djokovic began playing tennis at the age of 4 and turned professional in 2003 at the age of 16.

Throughout his career, he has won numerous awards and honors, including 23 Grand Slam singles titles which includes an unprecedented 10 Australian Open championships Djokovic first ascended to No. 1 in 2011 and has held the top ranking for a total of over 500 weeks, the most in tennis history. Djokovic's rivalry with fellow tennis legends Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal has been a defining feature of his career.

Despite his success, Djokovic has also faced controversy throughout his career. For example, he was embroiled in a dispute over Australia's COVID-19 vaccine mandate for those entering the country and was ultimately deported before the 2022 Australian Open 2. Throughout his career, however, Djokovic has cemented his place as one of the greatest players in tennis history.

England's Wimbledon: Carlos Alcaraz claimed he desired another opportunity to confront Novak Djokovic. claimed that it would heighten the significance of winning a Wimbledon title. Alcaraz had the opportunity to compete against Djokovic. He also beat him.

In a thrilling, back-and-forth final on Sunday, Alcaraz overcame a slow start and pushed down the line to defeat Djokovic and snap his 34-match winning streak at the All England Club. He won his first Wimbledon title and second Grand Slam trophy overall.

Djokovic was denied what would have been a record-tying eighth victory and fifth straight crown at the grass-court competition by No. 1-ranked Alcaraz. Djokovic was also prevented from winning the 24th major of his career.

Alcaraz, a 20-year-old Spaniard, overtook Djokovic, a 36-year-old Serbian, to become the third-youngest male champion at Wimbledon in the Open era. The two had the biggest age disparity in a men's Slam final since 1974.

Alcaraz therefore had youth on his side, which he also had when they first met at the French Open last month, of course. For two sets, that one was outstanding before Alcaraz strained and lost steam. He possessed the endurance and the skills necessary this time to defeat Djokovic.

Alcaraz can serve at 130 mph and hit forehands at 100 mph, but Djokovic has a wealth of skills and incredible muscle memory. Alcaraz is also faster and more powerful. He has the experience that Alcaraz, at this point, can only dream of.

Alcaraz, though, is on his way to doing quite an amount for himself if this triumph on a windy and overcast day at Centre Court, where Djokovic most recently lost in 2013 final, is any indicator.

Alcaraz's second Grand Slam final, and Djokovic's 35th overall, are both relatively new to him.

Alcaraz, though, triumphed in a 32-point, 25-minute mini-masterpiece of a game to win the third set. Alcaraz eventually took the lead by breaking to lead 2-1 in the fifth game with a backhand passing winner. Djokovic reacted by hitting his racket into the net post, letting go on impact, after falling during the point but swiftly standing back up. He damaged his tools, which cost him a code infraction from chair umpire F.More than 4 1/2 hours would pass as they continued to play, but Alcaraz remained steadfast and did not concede. Alcaraz, not Djokovic, was the one to receive the trophy that night.Murphy Ergus.
