Power Trips Trip You Up
Power Corrupts. Power affects people. Power interferes with the ability to think straight. Power drives those with any significant amount of it to become desperate and irrational to hold onto it; to assert that their view of their own position as a reality. They will start to "flex" and pull rank just to assure them that they can. A common saying holds true here: "Any boss who has to say they are the boss is not the boss."

The Price of Education and Teaching: Part IV
When I finally got my letter of admission to the only university I'd applied to, I was just happy I'd been accepted and almost decided not to go. However, the teacher I was working with as an assistant told me I had to go. I told her I'd already missed the deadline and would have to pay a late fee; she told me to pay the late fee and get out of her classroom; if she hadn't said that, I wouldn't have budged. My Adventures as a Pizza Delivery Driver
It was the first time that I had worked delivering pizzas on Valentine’s Day and I did not have any idea how busy the night ahead was going to be. I just thought that it was going to be another regular night at work but that is not the way it turned out to be. The pizza restaurant that I work at offers heart shaped pizzas, if you purchase a heart shaped pizza, you got a free pizza cutter included in with your order. Okay then, I thought to myself, well I sure hope that I do not forget to put the pizza cutters in with my orders tonight for the people who have ordered the heart shaped pizzas.

Employee of the Year?
There are a lot of people who go to work every day just waiting for, and hoping for, an opportunity to get out of their current position. They get up every morning dreading the thought of going into that place one more time. They feel like they have been skipped over for promotions, looked down on because of their perceived low position in the company, and stuck where they are until something better comes along.
