Hi guys, this is me, krithika, author of this book. This book is about the things that happened in my life. So once upon a time, a little girl was born in Chennai named krithika. She was a lovely and kind girl. Everybody liked her. She moved from Chennai to Sharjah, one of the emirates of UAE. She joined a school there. Krithika, as a new joiner of this school, was scared to talk with everyone and make new friends. As we all know, it happens to most of us that we usually take some time to recover and make new friends in new surroundings. It was 2016, and Krithika was studying 1st grade at that time. She even cried, and when she came into the classroom and sat on her bench, she felt a new fear she had never felt.

Krithika stared at everyone and was startled when a girl came and talked with her suddenly. Her name is Gauri. She is from Kerala. Gauri asked Krithika whether she wanted to be friends with her. Krithika happily accepted to be friends with Gauri, and all went fine. They helped each other in their studies, and they became besties. They always stayed together no matter what. Gauri was also kind and loyal to Krithika. They both were so happy, and no one could ever separate them. Sometimes small fights used to occur between them over small things, but they used to realize their mistakes and come back together again...

Now Krithika is in 5th grade. She has made many friends as she has experienced four years in this school. It turns out that Krithika's best friend, Gauri has been in the same class as Krithika, and till now, they weren't separated. Krithika became a better-studying student than before and always studied and became the class topper. But this year, a painful and fearful year of covid 19, krithika's biggest nightmare occurred: online classes.

Krithika didn't like this year because of online classes and hated covid because covid is a disease that decreases people's lifetime. It is a type of virus that started in the mid of 2019, so it is called covid-19. Many people died because of covid 19 and not only did the covid ruin other people's lives, but it also made a significant impact on Krithika's life, school life, the business of other people, etc... this is why Krithika hated covid and online classes a lot. Krithika hated online classes because she didn't want to lose touch with her friends. She got so angry that she didn't want to wear a mask or follow any of those dumb instructions from her school staff or the health community.

She wanted offline classes like before and to enjoy face-to-face with her friends. Anyway, she had to accept the reality and go with the flow of life... In 5th grade, everything was new; the way the teachers taught, the way the student played during pe classes, and even exams, picnics, and the field trip was virtually conducted. Before online courses, teachers used to write on actual whiteboards to explain to students, but now they create random pdfs with information about that particular topic and share it with the students.

In 5th grade, a new girl joined this school and happened to be a student in Krithika's class. Her name was Mantasha. She also joined the school's online group. At first, Krithika hated her so much because Krithika didn't know Mantasha's character. Krithika was very wrong about Mantasha. Krithika went into depression and didn't know what to do. The online classes drove her crazy, and she went through hard mental craziness that could never be expressed through words.

The covid aggressively continued the following year too. That is the year 2021 when Krithika and her friends got promoted to the next grade or should I say 6th grade. The virtual classes not only cut the relationship between Krithika and her friends. They negatively affected the children's vision as these virtual classes made those children who did not wear glasses wear glasses and made them go crazy. One fine day, as Krithika was listening to history class, she suddenly got a message from her class teacher that offline courses would come back after vacation, which made her so happy than ever before; now, Krithika could finally meet her friends, including Mantasha. Honestly, Krithika started liking Mantasha and had a good feeling about her. Krithika became so happy and had a big smile after a long time.

Finally, after vacation, Krithika took her bag and ran to her bus, excited to see her friends, especially Gauri and Mantasha. As she entered her classroom, a new feeling occurred as if butterflies were flying inside her stomach. She happily went inside her classroom, searching for a place to keep her bag, and that is when she bumped into Mantasha. Krithika was so happy to see Mantasha, and even during the break, they used to tease each other in a friendly manner and sing songs together... All was fine until a girl called Raeya tried to ruin, destroy and separate Krithika and Mantasha. In fact, Raeya was also Mantasha's best friend, and Raeya didn't like Mantasha hanging out with Krithika in school. One afternoon Raeya called Krithika personally and told her that she comes from nowhere and joins, or should I say, interfere between Raeya and Mantasha. This made Krithika very sad, and the next day Krithika told Raeya and confirmed that Mantasha was leaving school very soon...

Krithika also concluded that she wanted to spend time with Mantasha. Krithika and Mantasha became so close, like how Krithika was with Gauri. Mantasha also taught Krithika good habits, how to be kind and loyal to others like her, and many things that Krithika didn't know. Mantasha was a girl that Krithika had never seen before. Krithika sometimes even realized that she was so kind than Krithika. Krithika also realized her mistake and learned the moral that never judge people before you get to know them completely. This was the time that the year was going to come to an end. It was a 6th-grade class party. Krithika was so sad because for the next year, 2022, Mantasha won't be there. Krithika cried a lot during the class party. Finally, Krithika and Mantasha hugged each other so tightly, and both cried so much that their eyes became swollen. But even after this, Krithika never forgot Mantasha and will never forget her. Krithika hopes that Mantasha will also remember her throughout her life.

Now Krithika is in grade 8. She enjoys being with her friend a lot, but even now, she remembers Mantasha, and she enjoys a lot with Gauri and her other friends; she also made a new friend who joined the school she is studying at. A painful year as well now, last year was good, but this year for Krithika is also a little sad. Krithika is in generation 2023, where she is studying 8th grade, and she is 13 years old right now. In 8th grade, there was a situation where Krithika had to leave her friends and shift to Abudhabi. Even though Abudhabi is a beautiful place, she didn't want to leave her school as she has been studying in this school for 7 years, and this is the 8th year, and Krithika also doesn't want to leave Gauri and her other friends. Now back to me, Krithika, author of this book. These things happened in my life, and I am still in 8th grade. Let's all hope for a happy future for Krithika with her friends.
