The month of September and early October

Introduction

This piece is about how to achieve a stepping stone of 500 views. This will give the reader, and writer plenty of opportunity to interact and to join into this awesome community in Medium.

Fortunately, Medium has been the biggest blessing.

The engagement of the community is immense and everyone is super nice and helpful.

Every step of the way, I want to create value and track my manifestations come into reality. However, I’m more on the side of “need to track my goals more” rather than “on track to keeping my goals”.

This is for those who are just starting out on Medium, who may have a false premise that a single article needs “every ounce of perfection”.

If like me, you are often like that, it gets annoying staring at a blank screen sometimes.

This is for you, by showing you a couple of stats, hopefully, the paradigm stopping you from creating that you may or may not have will fall, and you too can step into the world of community.

I’ve been able to obtain 500–600 views over the past couple of months.

Here’s how to rise like a phoenix from the ashes.

The biggest argument to “should I do this?” Would be, “how badly does it scare you?”

Main Points

This is organized into practical lessons you can take away to start talking with great writers in no time.

Give Give Give

You can only receive properly when you give.

The people on here put hours, days, and weeks into writing, some more than others.

This doesn’t discount the fact others may not have the amount of time to put in as others. Either way, here we all are, together, standing, ready to receive.

Ready to shout into the sea of opportunity.

Western American culture feels like to receive, to consume, and to be brain dead. Sometimes we hardly have manners anymore. The opposite has to be true, and we must work towards being benevolent, and providing as much for people as we can.

Ponder

Can you imagine the amount of work people put in?

Yes, you can, you are human too, and maybe you haven’t created much, yet, but fear not, time is on your side. For as you breathe, you have thought that allows you to propel towards action.

What do you like? Start there.

“All our dreams can come true — if we have the courage to pursue them.”

Walt Disney

Conjure. Contemplate. Create

You’ve thought about what you saw.

Others have created, you consumed, and you pondered.

“Maybe I can do an article about…Wait what about this?”

Your brain starts making the connections that you never thought possible.

Now that you have conjured, contemplated, you must create, and in the creation comes the art of letting your work go into the world, to fly like a butterfly in a world full of strong winds.

Jordan Peterson’s rendition of Freudian Oedipal Nightmare reminds me exactly of this.

It is far better to render beings in your care competent than to protect them.

Conclusion

You can be anxious, hold yourself tight, and pray the butterfly is “safe”.

Or, you can wish it luck and hope it glides through the sky having the best time.

Give. Ponder. Create.

Then steps 4, 5, 6 would be … repeat, repeat, repeat.
