If you are on Medium as a writer – definitely, your aim is to grow on the platform. Because everyone joins Medium with an aim. So, organic growth is an integral part to accomplish yours. Many people join Medium and lose their direction because they are caught up by writers who misguide them. So newbies try to grow with shortcuts. Before proceeding to the article let me say clearly" there is no shortcut to grow on the platform. You will be frustrated soon if you are moving in the wrong direction." You must need to know how to grow organically on the Medium.

Here are some ways that I found helpful for me. Surely, they can be helpful to you.

Note: This article is circulating around my opinion and personal learning. This is all about what I learned and found on the platform.

Let's begin:

If you are a newbie on Medium. Just keep in mind there is no way to grow if you are gonna steal content. Your strategy might work but it will work for a short time. If you are caught up by the Medium team, you will be immediately removed from the platform. Because it's against Medium policy to publish plagiarised or copyrighted content. Even if you are not a native English speaker and if you think that your writing is not perfect, still post what you write by yourself. That's fine to be imperfect but to steal someone else's data is not fine.

#1. Informative Content

As I mentioned above don't stick with perfection. So instead of running behind perfect writers' content – create your own content. But the only thing you need to know is, it should be informative. I personally think informative content engages more readers than perfectly written but with less information. Because readers don't have much concern about how perfectly your English is put on paper. They only concern about what information they will get from reading.

#2. Be Consistent

Try to post every day. It will roam your content on the platform most often. It will keep people engaging with your content. You will get popular soon on the site. If you will post once a week or a month, nobody will care who you are. People only love to stay with those who are providing them with information and good content consistently.

#3. Don't Violate Medium Policy

If you wanna grow and stay on the site – Keep the medium terms and conditions/policies in your mind while writing or pasting new stories. If you are caught up in violating any Medium rule your all struggle will get wasted.

#4. Niche/Topic

Choose the niche you are best in. I will suggest choosing one or two niches. If you want to choose multiple niches, make sure they are relevant to each other or are interlinked. Such as my blog circulate around money making, freelancing, blogging, and online work. Similarly, if someone is an expert at health writing, she/he can write about physical health, mental health, self-care, exercises, and medical topics. This will boost your growth because it will make sure what you are an expert at and what is your writing about. You will build a specific audience with a specific interest. Writing once about one thing and the. Another, might not make the readers feel to follow you. Because they will see a variety of topics on your blog and it will not catch their interest.

#5. Stats/ Analytics

Don't stick with your stats. Don't go to the stats page most often. If you are checking your stats every hour it might frustrate you. Because unconsciously we wish to have a bundle of views and reads soon after publishing but it is not possible. So don't pay much attention to your stats. Keep creating and keep posting.

Final Thought

Growth on any platform doesn't happen in a day or month. It takes some time but you can boost your growth with sincerity in your work, consistency, and patience. With these keys, growth will surely happen – Later or sooner. But finding shortcuts and leaving it halfway will leave you frustrated and unsuccessful. So instead of putting your energies in the wrong direction, do real work and grow organically.
