Hens Night Ideas, Games, And Other Activities To Make The Bride Feel Special

Hens Night Ideas

By SarahPublished about a year ago 3 min read

Being a bridesmaid is special because your friend has given you the honour of being part of her inner circle. But with great privilege comes even greater responsibility. We’re not expecting you to splash out $500 for a dress you’ll never wear again or lose weight to make her wedding photos memorable. But if you have said yes to being a bridesmaid, she should be able to rely on you. And this includes throwing her one heck of a bachelorette party. If you are planning a hens night, here are a few ideas to make the event special:

Hens Night Ideas

• Day At The Spa

A luxury day spa perfectly sets the scene for a soiree with a pamper package that will satisfy even the most discerning damsel. From revitalising facials and therapeutic massages to sumptuous skin polishing, and deluxe manicures and pedicures, you can customise the experience to suit your budget and schedule.

• High Tea In An Elegant Setting

A hens high tea party is a classy affair that includes classic traditional cucumber sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, Victoria sponge cakes, and, of course, tea. But you could also substitute tea with champagne – a great accompaniment to such a decadent treat.

• Home, BBQ, And Some Nibbles

A classic sleepover is a great hens night idea, reminding you of the days when you stayed up all night gossiping with your closest pals about boys, watching movies, eating junk, and having a great time. You only need some hens night games, decoration supplies, and chick flicks.

• Pub Crawling

We suggest pub crawling if you’re looking forward to an amazing hens night full of dares, booze, and games. You can visit 3 to 4 bars, finishing at a nightclub with a round of shots for the group. Don’t miss the games, dares, and forfeits to guarantee a fantastic experience. But remember not to be too intoxicated, or the door staff may refuse entry.

• Costume Party

Get everyone to play dress up with fancy dress costumes with ideas ranging from movie-inspired themes to colour-coded ideas and even matching pyjamas. And to add some fun to the event, buy hens night sashes, tiaras, and veils.

Hens Night Games

A hens party without classic games is incomplete. Party games are a surefire way to get everyone to ditch their phones and create some great memories. Hens night games also help break the ice and get them to boogie the night away. Some of the games we suggest include:

• Truth or Dare

Create an exhaustive list of questions and dares for everyone. Go around in a circle asking everyone a truth or dare hen question. Questions can be as embarrassing as you want – what is the worst rumour you have heard about yourself, who was your best kiss, what is your weirdest habit, or what are your guilty pleasures? The dares can be equally embarrassing – take a selfie with the bouncers, kiss a bald man on his forehead, prank call a random number, or only answer a yes for an hour.

• Banned Words

Wait until everyone has had a few drinks to slap a ban on a group of words you know will be difficult for people to resist. You can impose a punishment or get the defaulting person to forfeit something every time someone lets them slip into a sentence. It can be difficult to keep track of words depending on how many words are banned and the number of guests at the party. We suggest keeping a Banned Board to let everyone know which words and banned and who has defaulted.

• Pin The Tail

You will need a large picture of the groom and stick it to the wall. The next step is to decide on the location of the tail, with every guest getting a turn to pin the tail blindfolded. Mark the pinned location with the person’s initials. The person closest to the location wins.
