Helpful Advice for Ridesharing Drivers: Part 2

These apps have been tested before writing this article. Some may enhance your experience, while others will pay you in cash or gift cards. I caution those with slower phones or have limited bandwidth. Some can drastically affect the performance of your device.

Uber and Lyft apps are first in this list. They are both great ride-sharing apps with lots of demand. Lyft is currently just a passenger transport, while the Uber app gives you an option to opt into deliveries. You can also opt in to drive for other apps like DoorDash, Grubhub, and many more.

1. Waze is a community-based navigation app, with up-to-the-minute crowd-source sharing road condition updates. A Driver can report useful data like police, accidents, and other road conditions.
2. Job Spotter is an app by Indeed. Spot a hiring sign, snap a picture of it and the storefront, and submit. With the points, you earn from the pictures. You can convert them into Amazon gift cards.
3. Achievement is a health rewarding app, with over 30+ iOS/Android apps to connect. Earn points for walking, running, sleeping, and more. Redeem your points for cash. Everything can be done on the website without ever installing the app on the phone.
4. ShopYourWay is a free membership app. Get rewarded for making qualifying purchases in and outside the app. Connect your account to a Sears Mastercard, Gas Buddy gas car, and Uber account. It pays you $2 for most rides. Use the rewards for tons of products on the partner network. Everything can be done on the website without ever installing the app on the phone.
5. GetUpSide is a cashback app, supposedly on Groceries and Dining, and Gas. Though in my area, the gas stations are the only options for now. Never pay full price on the gas again.
6. Google Opinion Rewards is an app that pays for your opinions. It is available on iOS. You will receive a notification when a survey is available. You answer a few short questions and get paid for the location-based info.
7. Meter android/iOS is an app for Taxis. You can customize how much you want to charge per mile/minute and the base fee. I've used this to double check my trips.
8. Hours Tracker helps to track time and earnings for several jobs. Being able to calculate the overtime is a great help. I use this as a driver with my highest paying old job. I strive to always make more than that each week.
9. Stride Tax (Free) is an app that should be running in the background, being able to track the mileage and show you the possible tax deductions. The deduction could be 52 cents per mile.
10. FlightStats helps you determine if going to the airport is worth it with a real-time update on all flights.
11. Gas Buddy is another crowd-sourced sharing app. Prices of gas from supermarkets, groceries, and gas stations are being updated by users.
12. FindShip tracks vessel movements app, over 80,000 ships covering most ports in the world. Great help for those around Cruise ship ports.

If you get the Gas Buddy card and connect it and the app to the ShopYourWay app, you can win rewards from both apps. And while I haven't tested my theory at the time of this writing. You may still use the receipt from the gas purchase to earn cashback on GetUpSide, making this triple combo a winning solution to boosting your income per week.
