While reporting on the weather in Bengal, a TV anchor passes out live.

Lopamudra Sinha described how her blood pressure suddenly dropped during the live news program, causing her to collapse in a Facebook post.

In summary, a heatwave caused Dordarshan anchor Lopamudra Sinha to pass out during a live show.

Sinha's blood pressure fell sharply throughout the show.

Temperatures in the southern region of West Bengal are currently above 40 degrees Celsius.

During a sad occurrence, Doordarshan presenter Lopamudra Sinha collapsed while giving live news during the intense heatwave that was sweeping over West Bengal. Doordarshan employee Sinha, who is based in Kolkata, revealed her health status on Facebook by sharing her experience.

Sinha described how her blood pressure suddenly dropped during the live news show, causing her to collapse, in a Facebook post. Even though she wasn't feeling well prior to the broadcast, she tried to continue, thinking that a glass of water would help. But given the format of the show and the lack of opportunities,

Sinha's health deteriorated as she continued to report the news; this was especially true during a section on the heatwave, which finally caused her to go dark. While she tried to remain calm throughout the program, she talked about the progressive loss of vision. In Bengali, Sinha said, "My speech started slurring, and eventually I could see the teleprompter fade away."

In the wake of the tragedy, Sinha has received an abundance of support and well wishes from people who are concerned about her.

Temperatures in many parts of southern West Bengal are currently above 40 degrees Celsius, and they are predicted to rise three to five degrees above average.

South and North 24 Parganas, Purba and Paschim Bardhaman, Purba and Paschim Medinipur, Purulia, Jhargram, Birbhum, Murshidabad, and Bankura districts are expected to experience heatwave conditions, according to officials.

Sinha, an anchor for a state-run news channel in Kolkata, stated that she most likely became unwell as a result of a sharp drop in blood pressure. She read the high and low temperatures for the day, her speech slurred, and then she passed out. She said that there was a problem with the cooling system, which was the reason the studio was really hot.

As temperatures soared above 40 degrees Celsius in nearly every region of India during the heatwave, a Doordarshan anchor lost consciousness on live television due to a dip in blood pressure. Before she passed out, Lopamudra Sinha, the anchor for Doordarshan's Kolkata branch, was heard slurring the facts.

Later, the anchor clarified that she fainted due to extreme heat and that her blood pressure rapidly dropped, according an NDTV story. She even mentioned that the studio was quite hot because of a problem with the cooling system.

In addition, Sinha mentioned that she felt sick and dry before Thursday's early telecast.

"I never carry a bottle of water with me. In my 21 years of broadcasting, I have never felt the urge to take a sip of water during a broadcast, no matter how long it is—15 minutes or thirty minutes. Even though there were still fifteen minutes till the broadcast ended, I was still thirsty. I gestured to the floor manager and inquired when the TV displayed images rather than my face.

Among other things, Sinha said that general stories weren't running with any bytes and that he wasn't having the chance to drink any water. "Towards the end (of the bulletin), a byte came and I used the opportunity to drink some water."

After drinking the water, she finished two stories, but when there were still two left, she passed out. As I read a narrative about a heatwave, my speech began to falter. I made an effort to finish my presentation. I went black as the teleprompter faded away. Fortunately, though, it occurred during a 30- to 40-second television animation. In the interim, I passed out on my chair."
