If you've ever lived in Ghana you'd know there is a popular saying, "It is what it is", this was printed on a shirt sold by a store called UK Brand,. There was one located at Accra Mall close to Ghana's East Legon section of Accra.

I laughed when I saw the shirt because I've heard the words uttered so many times. Besides that and "ignore it dear!" Something Ghanaians have to do in their lives daily.

I once asked how some people ignored the street children, I was told by several just ignore it dear. Another few people said, "oh you get used to it!"

One of the hardest things I've had to do, as a former mandated reporter in the US, a person that worked with children and adults that was legally bound to report cases of child abuse. Children living on the streets of America is a common practice, yet it is still a reportable issue.

Ghana has no place for these children and you get the sense that they couldn't care less about them.

When it comes to issues going viral in Ghana, the government pushes out this fake outrage. Let me show you several examples of Ghana's fake outrage.

In the photo used for this article, of which I have two, let me explain what you see in the photo.

Authors Photo Wa< Ghana

This 19th century palace skillfully blends Sudanese and Moorish architecture and still stands as stately and beautiful as the day it was built.

Wa Naa’s Palace, is located in the heart of Wa Town and is a major cultural attraction. It also holds political, religious, and social significance for local residents. The Palace has many compounds which accommodate the numerous clans who have occupied the throne.

It is the official residence of the Wa Naa, Paramount Chief of the Walas. In front of the Palace you will see the graves of past Wa Naas.

Back in 2022, two Ghanaians were tied to the flag pole outside of this Paramount chiefs home and beaten with belts. In a video you can see that they wildly swing the belts at times hitting the woman in her face. More than one man can be seen in the video beating the woman then the man as hard as they possibly could.

For some reason the men were more brutal in the whipping of the woman, nothing surprising considering how women are treated in Ghana.

The 2 lovers filmed themselves having sex, then the video went viral, the video went viral like the videos of them being beaten.

Some in Ghana called this brutality, when it made several news outlets the government tried pouring their fake outrage. There were 3 people arrested after this video went viral.

But what Ghanaians didn't know, this house is watched by Ghana police and Ghana soldiers 24-hours a day. So while these 2 lovers were being beaten, which is a traditional act performed by elders, with the exception of rape, abusing women and having sex with children. Which seems to be all acceptable acts in Ghana these days.

The act of whipping these 2 is said to be against Ghana's laws. One would wonder why the HELL would Ghana police and military sit and watch this act take place!

One soldier said, "its there tradition, we're here to guard the house and the paramount chief!"

This is Ghana for you!

Most recently I've written about the child-marriage in Ghana. Another issue that being ignored after a bit of "fake outrage" this is the country that Black Americans are flocking to, despite all this issues.

Because they claim police don't shoot and kill you, even though there are many stories of police bribery in Ghana especially towards foreigners.

In another more recently viral video from Accra, Ghana you an see a 63-year old man marrying a 12-year old. Now the video went viral because they explained that even as young as 9-years old they couldn't find a virgin.

Now they're claiming she was 16-years old, then they claim it's not a "real marriage" she only marrying a diety. But if this wasn't "real" then why change her age to 16-years old? Also it is still against the law in Ghana because she's under 18-years old.

Then there are several other videos claiming don't mess with the Ga tribe, mind your business so to speak. A man claims that tribes can do whatever they want and it should be added to the Ghana constitution.

To this day no one in Ghana's police have even went to check on the 12-year old child. Not one of them.
