You can't make this up, I swear this is like the country that upside down made, the sad part, it seems like many people are moving to Ghana to mistreat Ghanaians. There is this lack of standing up for themselves, I've written about Ghana more than most things on this platform.

One thing that several foreigners have said about Ghana is that there is a lack of common sense.

The things people do in Ghana are so odd, here is one of many examples, stoves in many parts of the world are electric. So instead of having a gas stove, one will have coils and electric burners. Can you imagine that many adult Ghanaians think that if you cook, in a pot or pan, use a metal fork or spoon inside that pan or pot you'll be electricuted.

It was the same when it came to Americans calling fuel or petrol, gas, I had several Ghanaians as why our cars (which they're driving American cars in Ghana), didn't explode.

Not one of these adults though perhaps that Americans used different English terms the way Ghanaians use different English words? I mean surely they use nose mask, instead of face mask, even when the masks are sold out of boxes with the word face masks on them.

The Ministry of Education in Ghana, thinks that painting all new public schools blue and white and changing the school uniforms to match will fix the educational system.

Keep in mind Ghana stil has around 5,000 schools without buildings, most are under trees. A Ghanaian insulted others, he claimed that is amazing, children get fresh air, unlike in American schools.

Wait, what? What did American schools have to do with Ghana, and how can not having furniture, textbooks, shelter from the hot sun and rain make outdoor schools better?

Did he not understand that a school without a building, doesn't have toilets or running water to wash hands. Under a tree there is little shelter from the rain, or from the sun. Let us not forget, where the hell are the children going to sit, write, take tests?

Small boy, small girl - in Ghana they're created these terms because they call adults boys and girls. So in order for you to know that they're speaking about a child, they put small in front. They also know that calling a man a 'small boy' is an insult to that man.

Yet calling any man a boy is disrespectful, because boys are children.

In a Ghana expat group, the question was asked, "What do you miss most while you are living in Ghana"

Just like that, no question mark, there were hundreds of comments, sadly the most common answers, had to do with lack of good education. The behavior of Ghanaians is something that everyone in the country learns to ignore.

"Deep, meaningful connections!"

"Competence and discipline, especially in traffic. Clean beaches and streets. Quiet churches and (road-side) bars."

"Common sense"

Many other things were not being overcharged or scammed, which is happening more and more in Ghana.

So painting the buildings will fix this? Changing the uniforms while most Ghanaian families are using hand-me-downs. How can the citizens afford these changes? Why aren't you going to repair the disgusting schools you have already built or better yet, give the children textbooks or school buildings for Christs sake!

How can paint and uniforms fix the issues of the educational system? Oooh Ghana what is happening!
