It's unfortunate that a prestigious private girls' school had such an issue with their English Literature International GCSE exam. Such incidents can cause stress and confusion for students. Offering the wrong book for study can be a serious mistake on the part of the school or the exam board responsible for administering the test.

In such cases, it's important that the school takes responsibility for the error and apologizes to the affected students. They should also work to rectify the situation by either providing an opportunity for the affected students to retake the exam with the correct material or by taking other appropriate measures to ensure the students are not disadvantaged by the mistake.

Mistakes like these highlight the importance of proper administration and quality control in educational institutions and exam boards to ensure that students are given a fair and accurate assessment of their knowledge and abilities.A group of students taking the English Literature International GCSE exam at Malvern St James Girls’ School were shocked to discover that they had been taught the wrong book. The parent expressed her lack of trust in the fee-charging school in an interview with The Independent.“It has been a complete utter waste of time for two years,” the parent added. “They have let her down completely.” She stated that mistakes should not be made for the amount of money being paid and demanded compensation and accountability for the teachers' actions.

Furthermore, she emphasized the importance of being responsible for the teachers' actions and revealed that the students had been studying the wrong book for two years, which she found to be a joke.
