Beaver PA - As we get the golden chance of going out again and eat at our favorite places after more than a year in self-isolation, there are few things we need to understand and appreciate throughout the way stresses Andrew Lloyd Beaver PA.

Andrew Lloyd of Beaver, PA says for example, as you go out and place an order at a restaurant you expect them to deliver late as because of Covid-19 shortage of staff is happening across all types of business and because it has been over a year you can actually enjoy the wait itself.

Having empathy towards business is actually needed this time because the pandemic has affected various local businesses like restaurants that have been collapsed for obvious reasons.

Even though delivery services were available at times but the risk of infection was still a reason for people to think twice before ordering in.

For a lot of restaurant businesses, it was a complete shutdown.

Take a look at the chart below:

According to Statista: “The coronavirus outbreak and the measures taken to contain it have resulted in a sudden loss of nearly 100 percent of their business for many restaurant owners in the United States and internationally”

One of the major reasons there is staff shortage and lower salary in the restaurant business is because business owners can’t afford to pay themselves!

But this is not the same for just “restaurant business”, so many businesses and service providers are facing issues in getting enough staff for their business.

Andrew Lloyd Beaver PA says this may be for the following reasons:

Risk of infection:

Even though lockdown is lifted in some parts of the world, the new variants like delta, etc are more deadly and some cases have even shown that vaccinated people can get infected by this, maybe not severe.

And considering that only 47.6% of the US population is fully vaccinated, there is still a large population that is vulnerable to this deadly disease.

So it is hard for people to choose jobs that do are not “work from home” says Andrew Lloyd.

Job Security:

With the last pandemic that did its job to affect the world employment rate negatively and the possibility of a new delta strain “job security” is almost a myth.

Andrew Lloyd says it is hard for people to commit to a job where they can’t see a proper future.

Decrease In Pay:

As mentioned in the introduction, businesses are having a hard time paying for their own expenses including their staff members.

So business owners need to cut down on allowed expenses and the salary they can afford to pay to their employees.

The decrease in hourly rates and salary is one more reason for people not applying for jobs in sectors that were affected the most by Covid according to Andrew Lloyd Beaver PA.

Change of Careers:

Pandemic has played a major role for everyone globally in deciding to change their careers for a better and sustainable future.

And with the global unemployment movement workers are quitting their jobs to start something of their own let that be full-time side hustles or startups etc.

It does make sense for people to not live in a job they hate when they can have so many options, most of which are made possible by the internet.

Andrew Lloyd Beaver PA mentions with so many challenges faced by businesses, it is important to understand their side of the story and support them by:

Not lashing out your anger at customer service just because you got 1 day late delivery of your goods.

Making sure to tip the workers properly.

Showing respect at the public cafeteria.

Being cooperative and empathetic to employees who are trying to help you.

Being patient and supportive is a win-win:

So with so many challenges faced by local businesses and other businesses they need the support and kindness of their customers now more than ever as they are getting back on their feet.

It has been a hard year for everyone and therefore understand it is okay to get a late delivery for your food or get a late reply from other businesses.

Some of the businesses are really focused on helping their customers but because of less manpower, it has become increasingly difficult for them to do so.

But you don’t have to compromise on fun, being able to go out again is more exciting,

As you were at home for more than a year, so overdeliver your expectations by enjoying the out time because maybe soon it would be gone again.

Appreciate being out, enjoy these little things and stay safe.
