Many times, we hope to manage our emotions, but often, we can't control them. When emotions get out of control, they hurt ourselves and others, leading to deep self-blame.

But is it really wrong to release emotions? A person who was originally kind suddenly becomes unkind; it might be because they have experienced some unforgettable events that awaken their self-awareness.

I personally have a few friends who are like that.

When the concept of "self" emerges, selfish and self-centered thoughts also follow. Once "selfishness" appears, a kind person can turn unkind, and this is a progression of human nature.

Let's review some characteristics of kind-hearted people in life:

1. Kind-hearted people often have weaker self-awareness. To put it nicely, they are selfless, but less charitably, they can be timid or ineffective because they lack self-awareness. Their self-demands are minimal, and their needs are suppressed deep within. Their desires become passive, going with the flow of external influences. They lack clear goals and self-interest pursuits, often becoming pushovers.

In essence, kind-hearted individuals may need to strike a balance between their selfless nature and the cultivation of a healthy self-awareness that enables them to assert their own needs and desires without sacrificing their compassionate qualities.

Their selflessness often takes the form of prioritizing the needs and welfare of others above their own. While this altruistic tendency is admirable, it can sometimes lead to personal neglect and an inability to assert themselves when necessary. The absence of a strong sense of self-awareness can render them vulnerable to manipulation or exploitation by those with more assertive personalities.

If they don't strike a balance between it, sooner or later kind-hearted individuals will become unkind or stop helping people due to bad experiences.

2. Kind-hearted people often have dependent personalities. People without a strong sense of self often excessively consider the feelings of others, are overly empathetic, care too much about others' opinions, care about appearances, and are willing to sacrifice themselves.

3. Kind-hearted people are often used and controlled by others. Due to their lack of self-assertion and their dependent personality, kind-hearted people are usually emotionally controlled by "unkind" individuals. They follow the rhythm set by dominant individuals in terms of aura, mindset, and behavior. Their weak self-awareness leads to a lack of motivation to defend their interests, as they seek to please and depend on others, fearing offense and losing their sense of security.

When a "kind-hearted" person suddenly becomes "unkind," it signifies an important psychological and personality development. They transition from an incomplete and immature personality to a more mature and competitive one:

Self-awareness awakens, and individual interests and values are affirmed.

Self-protection and assertiveness in defending individual interests increase.

They become more self-reliant and independent, reducing psychological control by others.

Their social competitiveness significantly improves.

Emotional intelligence and inner happiness greatly increase.

They become more likely to receive recognition and respect from others.

Of course, when we talk about becoming "unkind" here, we don't mean becoming a villain or engaging in illegal activities. Instead, it means becoming more mature and empowered in the adult world. From this perspective, transitioning from kindness to assertiveness is a sign of intelligence.

Is it good or bad when a person suddenly becomes unkind? I believe that every person has a moral bottom line. Moderate selfishness and self-awareness make up a person's true existence. You can choose to be kind, but you can also choose to reject those who want to take advantage of you. Understanding the world while retaining your integrity is what truly makes a person worthy.

That's all for today's sharing, thank you for your time reading.
