I have been making money online (MMO) since 2016, and if someone gives you some get quick rich scheme, run as fast as you can in the opposite direction.

There is no shortcut to success. You have to work hard, learn the craft, and always be humble to give it back.

MMO was my dream to make at least $100 while sleeping, which I accomplished long ago. This article is for you if you want financial freedom, looking for new ways to make money in your spare time.

Last week, based on my strategies, I also shared a story on making passive income, 7 proven ways to make passive income. Here are 25+ ways I am sharing to make money online.

1-Writing

The first and the most important hustle is to write; you love reading and writing, that’s why you are on this platform. Therefore, it’s possible to start it as your side hustle then to make a living with hard work. There are many writing platforms; however, I am using the following 3.

i) Medium

ii) Vocal

iii) NewsBreak

In the beginning, you don’t need to worry about the niche; just start writing. As soon as you polish your writing, and based on your previous article’s stats, maybe pick a niche, and devote more time. It could be personal finance, traveling, technology, politics, fiction, etc.

The more you produce content in a particular niche, the more you will establish yourself as a professional writer.

2- Airbnb

Airbnb is a lucrative option if you have a spare bed or property to rent out in the city or even a beach house that you use rarely. Many people are making money by renting their extra bedrooms over Airbnb.

The best part is you can control when your place is available. You can rent every month and also in per night like hotels. Take some pictures of your property and register an account on Airbnb.

3-Etsy

If you enjoy arts and crafts, it may be a great idea to sell on Etsy. Etsy sells homemade products. Millions of people visit Etsy to buy homemade products or organic stuff.

Here is an excellent article to read before you join Etsy.

4-Fiverr/Upwork

As I said, writing is a fantastic way to earn money online. However, there are a plethora of alternative freelancing possibilities available. If you’re a social media marketer, graphic designer, coder, or engineer, there’s a good chance someone will pay you for your expertise. Working on Fiverr or Upwork has the advantage of allowing you to work for yourself. Like Etsy, many people visit Fiverr and Upwork to find people like you to get the work done.

5-Facebook Ads

Facebook ads are another lucrative side hustle to start. All you need to do is learn the craft; there are many free youtube tutorials. Then simply cold call 50 small businesses in your area and help them put ads on Facebook. I would reach out to local pizza shops, fitness centers, coffee shops, restaurants, and/or pet grooming centers.

6-Sell course online

If you have expertise in a certain subject, just create and sell courses online. I will suggest the following three platforms to start:

i) Udemy

ii) ShareSkill

It will be really lucrative if you already have an established audience. Therefore, you can share your courses.

7-Manage social accounts

Almost every business uses social media to reach their customers, but not everyone can spend or share the content regularly. If you love to spend time on social media: Snapchat, TikTok, Instagram. You can easily make money by managing someone else account.

Here is a great article to start; it will help you become a social media manager. You can also follow the same strategy as step#5, cold-call local businesses and offer your services to manage their social media accounts.

8-Online tutor

If you have expertise in something, then try to teach someone online. Many people travel to teach in China, Japan, Thailand, etc., but you can easily teach online. Here are a few websites to start.

i) Student tutor

ii) Tutor.com

9-Virtual assistant

To help someone virtual is there since the internet started. If you love to help people and have admin skills, you are the best candidate to help someone remotely. It can be a simple task to check and reply to emails or even manage the website content. The easiest way to become a virtual assistant is through Fiverr or Upwork. SMB clients are always looking for virtual assistants to share their workload.

10-Online coaching

Pandemic accelerated almost every digital business, and online coaching is certainly one of them. If you have specific skills, for example, fitness instructor, you can easily coach people over the Zoom call. You can leverage your work experience and set the pricing model for your clients.

11- Bonus- Flippa to buy and sell domains, websites

If you love to build websites, you can simply go on this website, Flippa, to buy a new website, update the content, and flip it. You can also buy/sell domains. There is a learning curve to understand which website to buy. It can be lucrative if you are willing to put in some effort.

Pro tip: Always take your online side hustle like you are running a business and stay up to date. It’s not going to happen in a day. Consistency is the key.
