Virat and anushka Sharma release announcement

By SUGANYA RPublished 2 months ago 3 min read

This week, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli made their baby Akaay's birth public. Since then, speculation regarding their son's "British citizenship" has persisted.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli recently welcomed their second child into the world. The actor and cricket player revealed on Tuesday that their baby, Akaay, was born on February 15. Despite the fact that Anushka and Virat have not disclosed their whereabouts, there is talk that Anushka gave birth to Akaay in London. This has people wondering if the child of Anushka and Virat would be of Indian or British citizenship.

Is Akaay, the kid of Virat and Anushka, a British or Indian citizen?

According to a report by Sports Tak, because of his purported birthplace of London, Akaay would not automatically inherit British citizenship under UK regulations. According to the research, a child is not immediately regarded as a British citizen just because they are born in the UK. A parent must be a British citizen or have acquired established status after a prolonged period of residence for the kid to be eligible for British citizenship.

Is Akaay able to become a British citizen?

According to the article, even if Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli own a home in London, Akaay will continue to be recognised as an Indian national and is not eligible to become a British citizen, even though his passport will be issued there.

Furthermore, Akaay's parents Virat and Anushka can petition for their son to be registered as a British citizen, as he does not automatically acquire British citizenship by birth. The website further stated that if Akaay can manage to stay in the UK until he turns ten years old, he may be qualified for registration as a British citizen if he was born there.

Anushka and Virat announced on Tuesday via Instagram that their three-year-old daughter Vamika, who was born in January 2021, had become a sister to baby brother Akaay. "With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay and Vamika's little brother into this world," the couple wrote in their statement.

"We ask for your blessings and well wishes during this wonderful time in our lives," they continued. At this moment, we humbly ask that you respect our privacy. Virat and Anushka, with love and gratitude."

Regarding her career, Anushka has been preparing for the premiere of her Netflix film Chakda 'Xpress. She was most recently seen in a leading role in the 2018 movie Zero. Since last year, there have been circulating rumors that she is pregnant, but the actor has neither acknowledged or refuted them.

There have been rumors circulating recently that Anushka Sharma may give birth to her second child in a London hospital. Fans shared the 'latest picture' of Virat strolling around London streets on social media shortly after Anushka and Virat announced their pregnancy. Many on social media expressed their belief that the couple welcomed child Akaay in the capital of the United Kingdom.

With this explanation, it is clear that Akaay's citizenship status complies with the rules that the UK government has established. He will remain an Indian citizen even if he was born in London.

In the meantime, supporters rejoice in the Kohli-Sharma home as Virat Kohli gets ready for his much-anticipated comeback to the cricket field during the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL).

They said, "With boundless joy and love in our hearts, we are happy to announce to everyone that we welcomed our newborn boy, Akaay & Vamika's younger brother, into the world on February 15th! In this wonderful moment of our lives, we ask for your blessings and well wishes. At this moment, we humbly ask that you respect our privacy. Gratitude and love. Anushka and Virat."
