As we honor Mental Health Awareness Month, the importance of destigmatizing mental health issues comes into sharp focus. Amidst this crucial conversation, 90 year old Robin Lane, the host of "Robin Lane is Always Right" on Instagram, offers valuable insights into the intersection of mental health and relationships. In this interview, Robin shares her perspective as a relationship expert, certified therapist, and life coach. We also discover how Robin Lane is empowering individuals to embrace their inner strength and find fulfillment.

Mental Health Awareness Month is an important time for raising awareness and destigmatizing mental health issues. How does your show contribute to this conversation, especially from the perspective of a relationship expert, certified therapist, and life coach?

Robin: On Instagram Robin Lane is Always Right rolls out 1 minute videos on every aspect of the intimacy journey. Anxiety, Loneliness and Isolation often underlie a number of mental health disorders. I guide the viewer towards the how to's of achieving emotional connection. We are happy whenever we align with others with whom we share common ground and happiest yet when that acts in concert with sexual chemistry. Best recipe ever for curing the common neurosis. However if deep biochemical factors are the issue then medication is often the order of the day and that is beyond the scope of our exegesis.

From your experience as a relationship expert, certified therapist, and life coach, what are some common misconceptions about mental health that you've encountered, and how do you address them on your show?

Robin: Frankly I don't truck much with misconceptions or conceptions of mental health because as a therapist I've not always found labeling individuals in accordance with the DSM V to be all that serviceable. We're each a bit off kilter in one way or the other, for sure I am as are all the extraordinary folks I hang with. It's about, without harming others, living a life steeped with satisfaction. That's the focus of the Robin Lane is Always Right platform. How to get what fills the emotional gap.

What role do you believe therapy and life coaching play in promoting overall mental wellness?

Robin: In Lord of the Rings the dwarfs mined and worked precious metals throughout the mountains of middle-earth and crafted them into monuments of stature. That is pretty much what a good therapist does. But we take it a step further and enable the patient to recognize the gold in themselves.

As someone who has dedicated their life to helping others improve their mental well-being, what advice do you have for individuals struggling with their mental health, especially during challenging times?

Robin: I stated earlier, certain psychological conditions only medication can help. Otherwise forewarned is forearmed. By that I mean, connection. I am not skirting the question but if you check out the lyrics to "That's What Friends Are For," you'll find something of an answer. To whit; keep smilin', keep shinin'

Knowing you can always count on me for sure

That's what friends are for

For good times and bad times

I'll be on your side forever more

That's what friends are for

Humans need other validating humans and never more so than in times of crisis. So stack up in advance and if you find yourself unable to, then find a therapist with whom you feel a strong, solid rapport.

If someone was interested in booking your service how would they be able to contact you?

Robin: They can message me on Instagram and someone from my staff will get back to them.
