Every one of us are busy with life and we tend to run with work every time. this pandemic at some point made us realize so many things, people got connected to themselves and they kind of got a clarity of what they are doing and what they need to do. they also got time to think of themselves in most of the cases. Now everything is starting to get better like how it was before. people are adjusting to the new normal, people are going on work(in few countries) and are proceeding with their life as it was before.

With new normal the work pressure does not fades away it is there for you wherever you go, so many stuff to complete every day and the days are passing in seconds like it was 11th yesterday and it is already 15th today(ironic sentence bare it) . Along with everyday work and the things on due and in rush to complete it faster people are forgetting to take ease with life, taking a break on week end does not mean that it is an escape form the regular work instead what it really mean is to get recharged for the coming week so that you don’t get exhausted very easily.

Here are the things you can do on your week end. Just take only a bit of hours from the week end, from the regular schedule and do these simple things and stay more efficient for rest of the week.

1. Self-care: I know you are busy everyday with your work, studies, side hustle and so on may that be week days or week end, during the course of getting things done you get so indulged into the work that you and everyone else tends forget taking care of themselves. So what you do is either in the morning or in the evening just a take up little effort in doing extra skincare apart from the regular routines, watch a movie you have been wanting to watch from so long or the watch the comfort ones, listen to some great music, paint. The mentioned things are just the examples, you can add up whatever you feel like doing, do whichever thing makes you feel alive, happy, relaxed and peaceful.

2. An hour or two of extra sleep: it ought to happen at times that you won’t be able to catch up with regular amounts of sleep due to work and your sleep schedule stands there all messed up. If at all you are good with it take up an hour or so of an extra sleep if not in the morning take that at any time of the day you feel like. I said-“if not in the morning” because people will be habituated to wake up at a particular time so just not to break that daily routine one can take up an extra hour of sleep any time they feel like taking that power nap.

3. Make a schedule for the coming week: making schedule of things to be done the next week would really help because you won’t stay confused for the rest of the week of what need to done and what not. Scheduling kind of helps because it keeps mark of what things are urgent and what things can be postponed, what assignment to be submitted that week and what can be deferred and so on. It is better to schedule than to panic on the due date.

4. Talk to your loved ones: in the busy hectic schedule of life we always miss on family time, for a human being to survive good talks and time with your favourite people or person is very important and favourite in itself adds up so much of an excitement.

Of course talking to the loved ones thing is and should not be restricted to the week end but that extra time you give will always be delightful. That time no doubt makes you fell rejuvenated.

5. Clean the area where you live: during the whole week we tend to forget that the cleanliness of the area we live is so important. We tend to ignore it in the exact same way as the way we ignore in taking care of ourselves. It is hard to clean your working space everyday like the dusting sort, so add cleaning your room and cleaning things at your leaving space to your list so that you can take ease on cleaning it for rest of the whole week. It is just that keeping everything in place and organizing things and maintaining hygiene gives a good vibes. I read it somewhere that cleaning is a kind of therapy, so try it because mess and clutter creates terror.(might not be same for all)

The above mentioned are completely my opinion, you can keep up, deduct or alter the things I mentioned for your convenience. The ultimate goal of this article is that take a pause on busy lifestyle and enjoy bits and pieces of the nature, self-care is equally important as your work and it is ok to take a chill pill once in a while and it really doesn’t means wasting of time but instead what it really means is to make yourselves more efficient and more productive for rest of the week.
